Shocking , I just don't know how they are allowed to continue.Wait an hour to get an appointment on the phone...wait 2 months for an appointment for them to cancel 30 minutes before. The place is always empty when you do actually wait to get an appointment....if you havent died by then.

Have had a virus for 3 weeks. Went to the barn as a last resort desperate for help. Had the usual tests by a clinician I was hoping for a doctor
Got no empathy just straight faced no smile. Told it would go away itself. No point in going. They asked me to come saying I sounded terrible. I am 78 years old
And think the moderna vaccine made me ill won't have that again.

Terrible service, can never get through to them on the phones and has been like this for several years. Have always felt like the staff couldn't care about you or your well being (from receptionist to the gp's). Leaving this GP and re-registering elsewhere after constant disappointment with the overall service.

I have to say that until recently I had nothing but good words for this surgery, but in the last few months its been a nightmare. The telephone staff are despondent, and quite frankly who can blame them, the need for extra staff answering the calls is an urgent necessity, no one answers the phone between 1 and 2. Then there's a queue of 7 0or 8 people all angry because they can't get through. When they do you can't book an appointment then to SEE a Dr, you have to wait by your phone until they call you, which doesn't work for people who work. And quite frankly the patients issues can't be sorted by a telephone call!,
I've been told today that I have to come into the surgery to get my blood pressure taken and then go home and wait for a call. How ridiculous.
Sort it out guys your standards used to be so much better. Take some pride in your careers, you chose a career in helping people, so try a bit harder to accomplish that and you review ratings might increase.

Poor service. I've been with this surgery since it first opened and it has gone rapidly down hill. The Receptionists need to be taught the basic skill set of manners because they lack just that.
One time I rang -after 2 hours of attempting to get through- to be greeted with "hello". So I said "hello is that the barn surgery?" Reply "uh yeah that's the number you rang for yes?" So I said "well yes but you answered with "hello" so wasn't sure" "what do you want?" She said so I said "uh an appointment that's why I rang this number yes?" Then when you get in there 9/10 your waiting long over your appointment time was due -once 1h 35min- to be told "they are busy". Sorry but if I was "busy" and that late they'd sure be grr with me. These things are a regular occurrence and must be dealt with. We understand the NHS does there best but if I was rude to my customers I'd be getting a grilling.

Been with Surgery for years but the last year or 2 totally useless
Cant get through to book appointments I'm diabetic getting my annual review is almost impossible.
Went for appointment yesterday wrong booking type so after going in 1 hour late my review still could be done.
Went to collect repeat prescription yesterday not sent to chemist now have to leave work early again today to get prescription.
Amended my address details over 5 weeks ago still not been changed on their database.
Conclusion what used to be the Christchurch Medical Centre is now a complete shower no one knows anything totally useless management & the Barn now only has one Doctor left avoid this Joke of a Medical Centre like the plague.
As soon as I get my Meds I will be looking for another surgery asap.
