My mother has been here several months now. The care and surroundings are generally good, although there are some inconsistencies. There are 2 main problems with this care home.
1. There is no mobile signal, so everyone is reliant on Wifi telephony or WhatsApp. So if you are a resident, you need to have and be able to use a smartphone.
2. They are very poor at communicating with family members of the residents unless you physically appear at the home. Emails recieve no replies, some email addresses I was given do not even exist (Delivery Status Notification (Failure)).

My Father, aged 100yrs, has recently moved in to Avon Reach and has received excellent support, encouragement and empathy from all the members of the team.
The reception staff and nurses have been so welcoming to my Father and to members of my family.
The service is discreet and personal; the food choices have been carefully chosen to tempt each of the clients to enjoy their meals.
We are so delighted that my Father finally decided to move to Mudeford and to enjoy his twilight years in such comfortable surroundings. He calls Avon Reach "his hotel".

The staff were incredibly rude, not only to customers but also to their colleagues. It was uncomfortable to witness such unprofessional behavior, which created a negative atmosphere. Disappointing experience.

Cannot thank Avon Reach enough for pulling out all the stops to honour our fathers wishes of dying in a homely room with a beautiful view of a garden rather than a hospital. Even though he ended up only spending 36 hours there, the compassion and dedication that every single staff member we encountered demonstrated, was absolutely second to none and they looked after us with as much care as they did our father. We got an enormous amount of comfort having him at Avon Reach, as did he and even though they knew it would not be a long term stay they went above and beyond for us anyway. Money was not the driver for them, caring for a dying man and his family was.

Avon reach are absolutely Amazing. I am a manager of a local gym, Snap Fitness Christchurch - and Charlotte and Jess reached out to us as they saw we were fundraising for the Mental health foundation and they wanted to help out. After discussing several ideas we decided to team up and do a charity car wash for some of our members, the residents friends/family, and the general public and ended up raising just under £500 for the mental health foundation. The avon reach team were amazing and their residents were saying what a lovely place it is to stay at with such a supportive team. Keep up the good work and looking forward to working on other events with you guys in the future!

I would just like to say thank you to all at Avon Reach for the lovely Birthday Mum had. She was so thrilled with all the fuss and care on the day. We were then able to take her out in the car to Mudeford Quay, one of her and my fathers favourite places to visit.

Thank you also for the daily care mum is receiving, she seems to have turned a corner and it is all down to your excellent care.

I recently had a show round at Avon Reach, I was shown around by Charlotte who really sold the home to us, she truly cared and helped us with any and all questions that we had. This made a huge difference! All of the staff were friendly and welcoming, very VERY impressed! Highly recommend!

Excellent customer service from Charlotte and friendly staff.
We were given lots of opportunity to look around and invites to be part of social events taking place so we could meet residents. Unfortunately covid interrupted this but we were kept updated and felt we were important.
On viewing I found the rooms were beautifully decorated and immaculate, the communal areas were plentiful allowing the opportunity to join in activities and make new friends or find some quiet time alone to read. The garden was a great little sun trap and a lovely place to sit outside.
A very welcoming atmosphere and a lovely position to be by the sea, and even though we were not able to take up a room at this time due to circumstances beyond our control, I would definitely recommend Avon Reach to anyone looking.
