Absolutely disgusting way you treat patients I had a sore throat and chest pain was treated for inflamed throat given antibiotics and tablets for gastric acid was told to go back week after if it hadn't cleared.it didn't clear up I rung doctor about my medication as I had chest pain and pain in my throat and jaw and arms was told doctor would ring me back.no phone call later on that day I had chest pain and the same symptoms again so in pain I walked to the surgery and asked to see doctor was told full to capacity and I could go to one of their clinics else where I said I'm not driving with chest pain was told again full to capacity and was told we can review you tomorrow.i begged to see a doctor was told again full to capacity and the receptionist could see I was in pain.walked back home in pain and dialled 111 out of hours doctor said he was very concerned and told me to go a and e well its a good job I did or I might have not been here the next day.i had suffered a heart attack and have had two stents fitted.at least out of hours showed some compassion towards me.where is your duty of care your suppose to be here to get people the treatment they need not just brush patients under the carpet like there nothing. Been out of hospital a week and rung and asked if doctor will put my discharge letter on the system so my I can order tablets when needed was told its on system ready for doctor to do still not done it's not the first time this has happened with riverside.

Absolutely joke of GP practise, the waiting line is always ridiculous never less than 45 minutes and won't give put appointments for anything. Repeteadly turned away and said to call back in 2 weeks time and once again the appointments are all gone. Can't be bothered call or try again, at this point for the sake of my help I will go to private. Shame on the person who runs and supervise the practice

Fantastic practice, recently changed from another surgery and riverside is fantastic. So efficient, friendly and tentative to your needs from the reception staff, nurses to the doctors nothing is too much trouble and they have time for you. If you need an appointment the new system anima was so much quicker my query was dealt with straight away and an appointment was booked.
Overall a great well run and advanced surgery.

I have been living in Bircotes for some time now and I changed the clinic to Riverside Harworth. At the beginning I was very pleased with the service, but for several months the receptionists have been working there for a fee. I have been diagnosed with gout and I take medication, but I cannot return to work due to constant swelling in my ankle, so I am applying for a sick note. Getting a sick note is bordering on a miracle, I keep calling to extend my sick note and every day I hear on the phone that it will be there today and it still isn't. After a few days of waiting, another phone call and the same thing again. Is issuing a sick note a problem in this clinic? Greetings to the ignorant ladies from reception.

Absolutely disgraceful .. transferred from Oakleaf and nothing but problems with incompetent reception staff...been told I needed a prescription for antibiotics for an infection i hadnt even seen a dr to be diagnosed with one! by one receptionist supposedly reading from my records was told she would get back to me after confirming with the dr that had supposedly written it on my records but never did
.I had to call to chase it up and then was told by another that there was nothing on my records of that nature!! Then asked for a bp review was told I couldn't see a dr about that or my diabetes because the system wouldn't be running until after the 2nd October! Diabetic and hypertension stage 2 and meds still being adjusted.. then managed to book a bp review appointment..turned up only to be told that I had been booked in incorrectly!! My appointment was for 930am and a notification was sent apparently at 8.50am which I never received!! Nor did I receive anything to say that I had been booked in at 430pm to see a dr not for my bp ....but part 2 of my diabetic review which I was told to book once I had repeat bloods done! And that the dr would review my bp at that appointment also...there was no communication over my 930 appointment...no phone call to inform me of my 430pm appointment or even to consult with me as to whether or not I could actually attend this appointment!! I don't drive I live at the opposite end of the village and cannot go our on my own due to having serious falls with muscle weakness...i also have other afternoon commitments so asked if they could arrange for me to see a dr after my bloods at 12pm and was point blank refused...so helpful not and all they could do was say sorry for me being incorrectly booked!! Absolute joke...Reading from the wrong records ..telling me I need medication for something I haven't even been diagnosed with or seen a dr about.. being I couldn't book for specific problem only to then be booked for something else with no consultation! Or notification! Doctors need to sort it out and make sure the front desk staff know how to do things before their incorrectly booked patients and misread medical records have more serious consequences!

I have been a patient with Riverside for over 30 years and in that time have never had a problem. All the staff from reception, all the admin team (i never realised how much work is involved in running a gp surgery), the nursing team, registrars, gp's, the people who deal with the medication side and of course the management team (who ensure the whole process runs smoothly) everyone one of them are always very friendly and nothing is too much trouble, they all go above and beyond.
