Hidden gem not far from Chester. Beautiful setting, decor, and food with excellent service. The menu has something for everybody, and all food is top class. The bar is also well stocked with a great variety of everything and the hosts are very friendly and accommodating. A must visit if you ask me!

The tripled cooked chips are absolutely out of this world. The homemade pie - delicious. Looking forward to this place being our new favourite since moving quite local to the area.

Well, let’s start with the front of house (Stavros) who is excellent. So welcoming and attentive with a ‘nothing is a problem’ attitude. Moving onto the food, the photos speak for themselves. The hake with lobster bisque was out of this world! Some of the tastiest food we’ve experienced. Starter and dessert equally flawless. Zero faults to be found with all three courses and we wish we lived closer so that we could visit every week. We envy the local people! Highly, highly recommended.

A brilliant country pub/restaurant in the middle of beautiful peaceful village surroundings. The Bird in Hand was renovated only a few years ago. Stavros is a friendly person an some how remembers the last time you visited the place! All the staff are polite and friendly also. The food is amazing, fresh and reasonably priced. An excellent place to take your partner or go out for a meal.

Called in with friends after a trip to the zoo for an early dinner around 5pm, it looked fairly busy but the staff were very happy to fit us in without a reservation. The service was fantastic for our whole visit, the staff very obviously take a great deal of pride in what they do
A nice little selection of ales, kept very well. We shared a wonderful arancini starter from the specials, but the pies that we all decided on for our mains were astonishingly good, along with the sides. Really could not have asked for better, and if anyone we know is in the area we'll be recommending it to them very strongly!

We came back to the bird in hand for the Valentines set menu, it was hard to choose what to have as all of the options sounded so delicious! We were not disappointed with the food. All our three courses were delicious!
The staff are so warm and friendly, the head chef Alex also came to say hello. Such a lovely atmosphere and the most amazing food!
We can't wait to go back again!
We even finished off with a very nice expresso martini.

This place is a little hidden gem - I decided to book as it was highly rated on Trip Advisor. It is a gorgeous little pub, very homely and welcoming. The staff are so polite and helpful.
My husband and I shared the chicken goujons and pork belly bites as starters - both were excellent. For mains, my husband had the burger which he said was okay, where as I had the pie of the day which was beef and red wine - it was amazing ! The triple cooked chips were also amazing. For dessert, we shared a sticky toffee pudding which was nice, but tasted a little burnt - a slighyly disappointing end to the meal.
However I would happily return for the pie alone!

Love this place. Have only started visiting fairly recently (I’ve been missing out all this time!) and will definitely be returning soon. Have tried the burger and roast dinner, of which you can get a choice of meats. They also do a steak deal on Thursday which I will definitely be trying soon. Keep up the good work guys!
