Lovely staff. Michelle has been an absolute godsend for both myself and my teenage daughter on the occasions we have seen her. She listens and is very caring. I really couldn't have asked for more. Every time we see her, you leave feeling a million times better, and she gives the best hugs in the world. This lady deserves a huge pay rise. The surgery is lucky to have her and so are we.

The absolute worst practice in Chester. Repeatedly messed up my appointments - by either failing to book them correctly, or rescheduling without letting me know. Complaints are not dealt with promptly or correctly.

This review excludes all of the nurses, ACPs, and HCAs. Especially Sara Finnegan and Miki Sims, who have been nothing short of amazing when dealing with me.

I booked an appointment through PATCHS for Jan 28th. I was booked in at 09:45, and I still have the message to prove this.

I arrived at the surgery at 09:40, and signed in on the screen. My appointment had been changed from 09:45 to 10:45 with the duty doctor.

I'm told not to worry, and to take a seat, I "definitely won't be waiting until 10:45," and it's just the way the duty doctor's appointments are booked. Another lady then comes to the desk and calls my name out, and says my appointment is at 10:45. I say back that no, I was booked for 09:45, and I have messages on PATCHS to show this. She then tries to tell me that my appointment was always at 10:45, but she'd been trying to ring me all morning to let me know that my appointment was now with someone else. I have no missed calls or texts - Heath Lane has had my contact information since I was 16. I am now in my 30s, with the same information.

Every time I try to disagree, I am met with a very patronising 'no, you were booked in at 10:45'. Then I'm told that I'm more than welcome to 'sit and wait to see if I can be seen', but no, I had to go to work.

That was the final nail in the coffin after a long string of errors at this practice. There is ZERO accountability when they drop the ball, and I'm sick to death of booking time off work for appointments that don't go ahead, or to speak to a GP that simply will not listen. Dr. Fryar, despite 'specialising' in mental health, is the most unsympathetic, rude, and condescending GP I have ever had the displeasure of meeting. He either needs time off for compassion fatigue, or a new career.

As of today, I have registered with a new practice. I will never, ever recommend anyone join Heath Lane Medical Centre.

lI have had unsatisfactory experiences with the reception service at this medical practice. Every time I asked for information, the answers were inconsistent and unclear, giving the impression that there was no effective communication between the staff members. Additionally, whenever I asked for clarification, the reception's response was rude and annoyed, as if the questions were bothersome. Unfortunately, this attitude makes the experience unprofessional and made me feel treated as if I were incompetent. I hope there will be more attention to staff training to ensure a more respectful and professional treatment of patient

One or two doctors but mostly nurses so appointments are typically with nurse practisioners. Majority of nurses are lovely however have been offered some horrible advice by one or two. Chronic pain and nerve issues had left me bedbound but I was told to wait it out for upto 8 months and accept it. I had to go through A&E, then SDEC and eventually private to get any treatment. The problem was entirely solvable with a prescription for nerve pain.

Trying to get through to discuss appointments or prescriptions is impossible, just spent 20 minutes "first in queue". It's without a doubt the worst ran reception I've ever dealt with for GPs. I wouldn't recommend it.

The care I’ve received from all the staff at Heath Lane has been amazing. Reception staff are great making appointments and nurses and nurse practitioners are very caring. Times are hard working in the NHS but they always try their best to help. I’ve had a lot of appointments over the past few weeks due to needing regular dressing changes. I cannot fault them. Thank you to all of you.

The care my Mum received during many years of illness and particularly during her last months, weeks and days was excellent. Dr Fryer in particular was very caring and available to provide us with guidance and support. When Mum passed away, he took the time to write us a letter, letting us know he was around to support us should we need him. Couldn’t have asked for anymore.
