I did not want to leave one star. The mistakes made from this surgery were appalling. The reception staff have been shocking throughout the years and I desperately wanted Dad to change surgery. Being told Doctors were going to phone and they never did, not being told antibiotics had been prescribed leading to serious infections, asking for blood results to be told by reception" you have to phone the hospital yourself" so I would phone the hospital to be told " the results go to the surgery and they tell you" so much unnecessary stress when you are dealing with a unwell parent. I'm sure i am not the only one.

Amazing surgery! People answering the phones genuinely want to help you and give you the time you need to explain your situation, seen by a lovely doctor who treated my 7 year like the only one in the room! Spoke directly to her and not just to me!

I’ve recently moved to the area and was advised to join this practise, very glad I did. After becoming really unwell Wednesday which I thought was just a cough, turned out to be a serious issue with my asthma. The receptionist I spoke too knew immediately I needed to be seen and sent me to a respiratory doctor at the hospital, very glad she did as slowly getting better, thank you for what you do and your team.

I was in two minds about contacting the surgery as I wasn’t sure my worries were serious enough however I took the plunge and spoke to one of the nurses Mel who was absolutely brilliant. She organised me some blood tests and went through the results with me, gave me loads of advice and I’m going to see her again in 3 months. I was 100% impressed and as someone who tends to avoid the doctors surgery can’t recommend them highly enough.

After recently moving from a big town with a massively oversubscribed doctors surgery, where it was almost impossible to get an appointment, let alone spend any time with the doctor, I have to say how amazingly different the experience is with Somerby practice. The Doctors and nurses are so lovely, completely approachable, empathetic and patient. They take the time to listen whilst looking at you (and not their pc screen!), and then talk through their thoughts and plans on treatment. Sometimes I might have to pop over to Market Overton as Somerby might have no appointments but this really is no issue. Thank you to those who make the typical village doctor surgery a thing of the here and now and not a thing of the past!

Whenever I have phoned staff have always been helpful and friendly. The GPS at market Overton practice go above and beyond in giving the best advice and care. Some of the GPs that I have had the pleasure of hearing from have changed my life for the better so when I’m reading some of these reviews it’s quite sad as the receptionists cannot help everyone at once and neither can the GPS. I always feel smug when I hear story’s from others as I have never had any issues.
