Amazing staff because each time I have visited with my Mum or Dad these guys do everything they can to help.

Absolutely amazing people. I cannot thank you enough for how much you have looked after my Mum and Dad when they needed it. Thank you.

My only criticism is the darn parking - not enough spaces.

On Tuesday 23rd Sept. I arrived at JR @ A&E around at 06:50AM. I was seen by a Nurse at 7.00AM. I was given a series of checks between 0747-0930AM. The GP I saw was excellent very knowledgeable, personable and answered all my questions. I was kept well informed throughout my visit by the medical staff I met. I was very impressed by the thorough nature of the checks they undertook and left with a really good impression of all the staff at the hospital. Thank you.

I had MRI appointment today and I was lost trying to find the Right building. I went to the front desk and the man from reception was so rude . He was watching videos and his earpiece. He didn't wanted to help . Clearly he was paying more attention to whatever he was watching. The hospital is big ... we need a bit of consideration as we don't know the building. Lucky I found a doctor who took me straight to the door as he saw my distress being lost . . 5 starts to that lady doctor . But that man in the desk he needs to do his job properly

Staff are great, obviously you get the few moody ones but most are absolute stars and couldn’t be more grateful for them. However, parking is an absolute nightmare, especially when half the time ambulances will take a good couple hours to arrive, and car is the next best option. You would be lucky to find a spot! Expect to pay around £12 for a few hours (which is fine, i get its in a city and whatnot), but the space there is ridiculous. Youll end up going round and round with about 4 other cars all trying to find one and you’ve just got to hope someone leaves when you’re looking, otherwise, dont expect to stay.

My sisters and I visited my uncle in hospital and all the ward staff were friendly and helped get my 88 year old uncle into a wheelchair so that we could take him to the hospital cafe and the hospital garden. Sarah in the cafe was so caring and helpful. Also was her colleauge, porter manager, who took him down. I can't thank them enough, especially Sarah. My uncle was delighted to get into the cafe and outside in fresh air too. Wonderful caring staff. Thank you! Xx

Long story short- urology are the worst department I have come across. Poor communication by all members - the department appears to be run by the admin team. Lack of urgency with acute patients. Impossible to speak to a clinician - they don’t respond to messages or pages. The wards at the Horton however are what you would want when ill - nurses and doctors are caring and communicative.

Gaslit nightmare!
Suffered nasty fungal infection for 6 weeks now. Seen by 3 different GPs who all tried different treatments. Pain worsened on Saturday night so called 111 and was sent to Horton A&E early hours of Sunday morning. Doctor there was fantastic. Confirmed infection on sight and also called in a consultant who confirmed swelling was "bright, tight and hot to touch". So they immediately sent me to the John Radcliffe SEU via ambulance. In SEU triage, I saw a doctor who told me I need an MRI but the wait can be long, so how would I feel about going home and coming back when an appointment is available. I said no, this is horribly painful and I was sent here because it's urgent. On morphine overnight and saw a consultant on Monday morning rounds. He denied any sign of infection. I was gobsmacked. I asked to see a different doctor who, after going into a room with the consultant and nurse in charge of my care, came out and told me that he agreed with and trusted the consultants opinion - WITHOUT EVEN LOOKING. I asked him to see for himself which he did at protest. He denied seeing any infection. It felt surreal. I was scared, so I emailed PALS who were fantastic. They had me moved to a ward that night where a nurse and yet another doctor looked at me. They confirmed infection and have now been in a bed for 2 days waiting for an "urgent" MRI. Saw another Doctor on Tuesday morning rounds who asked me "what do you know about a fungal infection?" and proceeded to state that he believes I'm exaggerating the pain due to the fact that I'm autistic. What is wrong with the doctors here? This is terrifying.
