This was Norwich Rd surgery. Handed in a good review for Chesterfield Drive surgery, as in a lot of pain n didn't wish to walk there. In pain suspected infection. Receptionist could see I was in pain. However, was at around 2pm on 1st visit, got implement needed. Said what for and told her my other condition that it could affect. She said, if I was in so much pain, how did I get here? Then said I could try Chesterfield drive if I liked. Was only one there, so no back up on that. Sent on my way and did as she said. Went on askmygp. Shut down, went to N.rdsurgery again. Asked to ring 111, luckily I'd asked for call back. Got the call in Norwich Rd surgery, lady on phone spoke to Receptionist n only then did the receptionist type me in on the system. As lady on my phone told her it was urgent. Thank you call back lady, you saved the day. I finally got what I so needed later that day. There's got to be a better way to obtain what is really needed. Time being the essence. Call back helped more.

Impossible just about to make an appointment, I'm housebound just about with a back injury, on my own, I don't get good night's sleep and if you want an appointment the ask my GP is a joke!
Ask my GP is Supposed to be open surgery hrs but it isn't, from 8am you have a 45min window if you're lucky to get a form filled in,before it says its full and not taking anymore appointments for the day.
Not good for me if I'm not available in trying to get up as im disabled with limited mobility.
For a new patient like I am it's not boding well.
Plus, if you're elderly with limited knowledge of the Internet...even worse

This cardinal medical practice is a joke. The receptionists never really listens thats after waiting from being 31st in a queue. You can't make appointments in advance which is the most ridiculous policy ever. How can someone arrange transport to the surgery when you can't get an appointment in advance. So it seems like it goes like this. Phone up on the day and join the long queue. Wait in the queue for at least 30 minutes. Cost.. several pounds. Speak to receptionist and ask for appointment to see someone. Sorry, we have no space left today. OK, can I make an appointment later in the week please. No sorry, we only make appointments if you ring on the day.
Its time to find another surgery i think!!!!!

My 96 year old father took my 92 year old mother who has Alzheimer’s and is very infirm to an appointment yesterday. He had difficulty finding a parking space and subsequently was 10 minutes late. The surgery refused to go ahead with the appointment and turned him away. Frankly disgusting when we as patients are more often than not subjected to wait ages to see our GP having arrived on time. Very very poor

The doctors are great. The management is really frustrating. Why did they decide that you’re not allowed to pop in the surgery to make an appointment with the doctor? Who had this brilliant idea? I mainly use ASKMYGP just to skip the long time waiting on the phone just to ask for an appointment. But sometimes I just don’t want to force my brain to stay in front of the screens for another 10 minutes and narate another medical issue me or my child is dealing with. What if I’m missing another very important call while waiting to be picked up at the surgery? What if I smashed my phone and it’s not working at all? What if… what if we could still interact with each other, face-to-face?

The interesting part is that sometimes ‘works’ to make an appointment at the reception, at the same surgery… then couple weeks after it doesn’t and this goes on and on.

To whom it may concern: Just leave the doors open for all kind of scenarios. Some people would rather call, write a novel on askmygp or just simply pop in the surgery, all to make an appointment.

I’m giving a 5 stars rating just because your rating is already dissapointing and truly because of the nice and caring doctors that works for you.

Ps: I’ve always been aproached by receptionists in a profesional way I’m not even complaining about them. I’m not hating on the players I’m hating on the GAME.

Kept refusing blood tests that I needed and taking so long with replies I have missed important appointments for conditions that outer NHS practices needed the tests for.

They also shut off replies after sending something, not giving you the chance to reply back to them.

In a different instance over a year ago they kept telling me I was fine and it wasn’t until I went somewhere else that the other place noticed I had fractured ribs!!

Avoid this practice as their neglect is appalling.

3 years of awful stomach issues leading to massive mental health issues and was told to have gaviscon. gone private and feel much better, also finally got a diagnosis, a super common stomach infection which I should have been given antibiotics for 3 YEARS AGO! Cheers for that complete and utter disregard for my wellbeing with something that even I could have told them had they just tested for it. won't get that £2000 back from the private care but I suggest if you want to get better please get a second opinion because getting to the point where the healthcare navigator (receptionist) is giving me advise to try hypnosis for an issue in my stomach not my head, I suspect they might be clutching at straws. The pain and depression this whole thing has caused me gives me the urge to either scream or laugh because of how absurdly open they seem to be about their lack of due care and attention. To be honest if you want a better medical opinion ask a stranger on the street and you'll get more accuracy. They used to be great when I was young but they've really gone downhill, which is a shame because people should be able to get better from the NHS, the system they pay into to keep their standard of life as high as possible.
