Horrendous experiences and multiple safe guarding issues raised with the localauthority under neglect and omission.
Please do your research and do not send your relatives here. The staff have huge language barriers and some are unable to provide even the basic needs required by residents.
My dad was on a pureed diet and was fed solid foods on more then one occasion. His catheter was left to bursting point, he was not given basic mouth care, he was not washed, he was left in the sun with no sun cream on and burnt and this is only the tip of the iceberg.

I would like to pass on my thanks to the care and nursing staff at Heatherfield for the care and support provided to my father John Purvis in the last year of his life. A special thanks to those involved in his end of life care. His passing was peaceful and comfortable and as his family that is all we could ask for.

My Mum was a resident at Heatherfield’s for 12 years, until her passing in December. During that time her care has been excellent and they have always tried to do their best to make her quality of life the best it could be. During her recent end of life care they were outstanding, looking after not only my Mum but us as a family. Caring considerate and above all made the last few weeks as bearable as they could have been, and I can’t thank them enough.

My client was placed here over a year ago and at first there was a few problems especially with communication, once this was resolved my client has made great relationships with residents and staff members especially the activities staff and the carehome manager, any issues i have she addresses it ASAP.

My client enjoys going out most Friday's with other residents and activities staff to their local pub. She's starting to feel very at home here.

I Also wanted to say that NO ONE has asked me to leave a review, Im a big girl and dont need anyone to tell me to do such things.I had a few problems myself with the carehome , but since addressing these issues i have no complaints.. my client is looked after and is becoming a very happy, social individual who enjoys the company of some of the staff members. The staff or first class and so is the home
My husband John is in the home and when his mam passed away the home were there for use as I family and help John to go to the chapel to say his good byes in his way and I carer came to help use with John 5 star .
Then when my daughter got married we didn’t think he would be able to go but with the help from the heathfield he did they got I taxi for him and got him dressed and meet use at the place were she was getting married and stayed and helped use 5 star again , I would like to say I big thankyou to Div for being there and sharing this special day I very big 5 star xx

My father was placed in here on a temporary basis and he came out worse than he did going in. Staff were not helpful, obvious language barriers there when asking for simple things, my dad is completely paralysed so is unable to press his buzzer for assistance, he was left to rot in bed sores and made to scream for hours for help (which a resident even backed up when she said I heard you screaming for ages and no one came to help) shocking! The nurse wasn’t helpful and actually came across mean when asking to see simple charts like what he had to eat and drink she claimed “she’s not from this country so we should know the policies better” excuse me is it not your job to know? Staff were useless! My dad has come back home covered in bruises and terrible bed sores and is just not himself now after being in this care home for a couple of weeks. Do not send your family members here!

Imagine sending a letter out threatening us saying if we don’t take our post down they’re going sue us for financial damaging reputation!!! Do your job properly and we wouldn’t be in this place now would we!!! Take everyone else reviews who have said exact same as us to court! Surely everyone is lying who has put a review on?! This situation ? We have multiple letters regarding the failings in your care home so Do your absolute worst you done that when my father was there! See you there as my post isn’t being removed !!!

Absolute disgusting place!! Sick of seeing reviews on here and this place still being open allowed to be neglecting innocent people taking their dignity and their last precious moments away from them! Yet it’s still open!!!!! DO NOT SEND YOUR FAMILY HERE! Us as his children are traumatised by the events that took place in this disgusting place! Never mind my poor father final days! Should be ashamed!!!

Neglected my family member so bad that the hospital are horrified at the sores on his back and legs! Do not let anyone you love go to this care home! they can’t even be bothered to clean the residents bedrooms never mind care for them. Things go missing from their bedrooms and when my grandad had a fall he was left for hours before anyone found him to ring an ambulance. The place needs shut down and the staff not allowed to work in care ever again. Safeguarding procedures are being followed.
