We attended glebe school for a parenting course. Following course my son was referred to SYPS suspect ADHD. Process with CAHMS wasn't too bad. I am diagnosed my self. The course helped us put into practice things we are still using now 6 months later. Pizza massage, reverse praise, loads of stuff. With great success. Thank you Erna and Jude.
Root cause yet to be established or treated but it's certainly helping us in mean time.

Lazy incompetent staff will waste years of your child's life. Stated son wasn't Autistic when they have no training or education to diagnose. He has now been diagnosed by the right people as Autistic.
Camhs just wanted to hand out patronising worksheets and make son attend a course on bullying. Took escalating a complaint to the Manager to get them to do anything.
They are a self important paperwork hurdle to the correct people helping you. Place should be closed down.
Over 2 years wasted and multiple referrals to get past them.

I told them a group of boys was throwing stones off my legs every day and their response was "well they must like you" . They also asked if I enjoyed self harming. Camhs is a joke
