The system doesn’t work! To get an appointment, the waiting time is 2 weeks.
For urgent issues you are required to turn up extremely early in the morning to be able to have a chance of being a 1 in 16 patient to see a doctor. Except today, patients are here early only to find they must wait a further 1 hour for the doctor to arrive!

Yes they did leave an A4 notice on the door, but who’s going to read that before they decide to visit? And on top of that, now I’m signed in (at 8:30) I can’t even go home and come back due to health and safety! So I get to waste time sitting here.

UPDATE; no doctor arrived!
Thanks to the staff I was able to see a doctor in another local surgery. I know things happen outside of our control but the communication between a late/no doctor and surgery was extremely poor especially as the waiting room was full of patients

To be fair one doctor I have had the pleasure of seeing is very nice. However I’ve also experienced a rather rude one too!

I’ve lived in a few areas in my time, and this surgery feels like the less loved cousin in the NHS family of surgeries.

If I could give less than a star I would.

They’re taking on new patients, obviously to get money but it’s virtually impossible to actually see a doctor, my mother has a list of 10 things wrong with her; last time she managed to see anyone he would only discuss one issue per appointment. Did a good job on the vax but also did an ‘old age health check’ for each older person for which he can claim £100 on top of the £20 odd he was paid for each vax

Shocking how it is only 6:10 on a weekday evening and yet I am unable to make any sort of doctors appointment. I am appalled with the level of service I have received so far after moving to the village and trying to join the surgery. I was informed after sending my paperwork through that the surgery does not open on Thursdays or Tuesdays in the afternoon due to what can only be described as a shortage of staff and medically trained professionals. I am starting to wonder if maybe moving it to the village and registering at this doctors was such a good idea and will most likely be moving to another more reliable surgery. I am shocked that they can leave patients in pain or agony waiting for the surgery to open, if it ever does

Was my first visit to the surgery a few weeks ago and I felt that the Dr was super understanding and took time to listen to me. He was very courteous and made me feel at ease. I then had to go see the nurse last week and she was also super nice and helpful

Pretty bad service when we went there on Tuesday. If there was a choice to give no stars I would. We had booked back to back appointments for my wife and my daughter (20 minutes in total. 5pm and 510 pm) and after a 20 minute delay we were finally called in at 520. We decided to talk about our 2 year old daughter first. The nurse did not seem to pay any attention to what we were saying .All she said was I'll refer to the pediatrician(even for cold and cough). This was done in about 7 mins. So next was my wife's turn. She started discussing one issue and with no real solution to the issue she was ready to move on. When my wife started to explain the next issue she abruptly stopped and said "only one concern per appointment". In fact this was the main issue she wanted to discuss but was cut off. Time was only 535 and she still had another 5 minutes. When we enquired at the reception we were told to get another appointment to come back and discuss the other concern. Firstly it is very unusual to not prescribe even calpol for our 2 year old or help us with what precautions we could take. And secondly, the 'one concern per appointment' is very unrealistic as we really walked away that day with absolutely no closure to any of the issues we walked in with . Come one Cranfield surgery, be more courteous to your patients who come in.
