Very disappointed ☹️ I don't know how the triage is done but I saw parents with babies waiting for hours and some people going in after 30 minutes of waiting. Maybe I am expecting too much from the NHS, but as a tax payer I think more consideration can be done. I don't seek medical attention just for fun, I came to see a doctor because of my pain...

First I was at A&E and a very nice nurse sent me here...

it’s so awful, i understand that lots of people are sick and all of us wait, but what? 7 h? i was send by an Ambulance team with chest infection and all i need is antibiotics prescription. and for that prescription need to wait so long? ? and we moved to this country to live better live and pay 3300£ each for NHS every 3 years ? for exactly what?
i understand it’s not staff’s fault, but still how not to complain?

i had no choice but to leave. coz my back is hurting and i’m too week to move around. i won’t be able to sit that much?

Doctors take their sweet time to call patients .
It seems Today there were 2 doctors it’s been more than 30 mins and the doctors have not called any patient .
More than the queue , there needs to be a system to track how quickly doctors are calling the patients .
In last 2 hours I have counted , hardly 6 patients were called by doctors. This is not acceptable by any standards.

Accessing healthcare in the UK has become increasingly challenging. Long queues at urgent care services often mean waiting for hours, even when patients are clearly unwell. NHS GP services are even more inaccessible—phone lines frequently disconnect after long waits, and securing an appointment feels impossible. My son has been unwell with a high temperature for nearly three weeks, and despite our best efforts, we haven’t been able to get him seen. This situation is unacceptable and highlights the urgent need for government intervention to address staffing shortages and improve healthcare accessibility.

Long wait time. 5-6 hours (I understand that this is not entirely their fault)- when do you get to see the doctor/nurse? All you are given is "Calpol" or Paracetamol- My daughter had all symptoms of "Threadworm" in addition to being diagnosed with UTI- I asked the nurse if she could check/give medicine for Threadworms, but all she advised was Calpol. My daughter hasn't slept well for about a week, and I've finally been able to schedule an appointment with the doctor. I understand the pressure, availability, and so on, but when a patient has practically all of the symptoms, it's worth running some additional tests before sending her back with only verbal guidance.

Nobody would go to Urgent Care at 11:30 p.m. and wait for 5-6 hours with their child unless it was an emergency; most of us get there after we've taken Paracetamol and other pain relievers. We already know what Paracetamol is for.

I recently visited Urgent care center, although super busy, the staff were very supportive.
I was seen by Maureen Warren, l was feeling very unwell and in a lot of pain, Maureen was super kind, she was professional and listened to me, in my opinion she went over and above to help me. Prior to my consultation with Maureen we witnessed three women being extremely unreasonable and rude towards Maureen about having to wait to be seen by reception, Maureen handle the situation professionally rightly indicating all the people in the waiting room had waited to be seen.
Maureen saw me after this incident, she did not allow it to affect her deliverng a super service to me.
I appreciate the NHS and its wonderful staff like Maureen.

The booking in staff are always so rude and look at you as if you’re stupid for wanting to be there. As if I want to sit there for no reason other than a nice day out. Patronising and inconsiderate. Just a smile and a gentler tone makes all the difference, I’d like to think people skills should be a given in their job role however they all clearly have none. I’ve met nicer street rats.

Was told to go here from 111 on Sunday due to ongoing pregnancy symptoms with no positive test but was in extreme pain. I had already been to a&e on the Wednesday before due to a paramedic being concerned about a possible ectopic pregnancy. After being fobbed off by a&e I was hoping I’d get somewhere here. Turns out that this experience was the worst experience of my life. Booking in was fine, temp was a little higher than it should have been and I was feeling incredibly dizzy, sick and faint already. Saw the triage nurse who passed my case on to a doctor to see me. Saw a doctor a few hours later who asked for my background and history since she somehow did not have access to any of my gp / hospital notes? She then asked me to take a pregnancy test which was negative and then asked me to lay down whilst she pressed on my stomach. I was practically screaming in pain when she was doing this but then stopped and typed something on her pc. She then said there’s nothing she’s going to do for me because all I need is a non urgent ultrasound. I started crying and begging her for help saying how I’ve been just left with no answers or follow up care from a&e. She said I do understand, you can leave now. And just let me go, I was an absolute state physically and mentally leaving that place and I’ve never ever felt like such a waste of space. The whole stress of this event caused me to start heavily bleeding a few hours later and now I will never know if I was very early pregnant or if something else was going on. I will never ever go back to this place including the hospital and will tell others to avoid it too.
