I don’t want to even use one star to rate this pharmacy, they are shockingly sub standard in every way.
I bought an over the counter item from this chemist and upon opening the box I found an integral item missing from the box. I returned it with the receipt over 2 weeks later as I had been on holiday. I queued for over 25 minutes amongst at least 18-20 other people. The service was in disarray with many complaints being levied at the staff, there were 3 in pharmacy and one cashier, they couldn’t find prescriptions, they sent people away claiming all kinds of reasons and excuses. As for me, I was told I
that, as I could not prove the item was not in the box when I bought it, I would have to wait whilst they contacted the “company”
In my opinion I was made to feel like I was a
criminal trying to defraud the pharmacy. I
pointed out the trading standards laws and consumer protection but it all fell on deaf ears. I have never seen such incompetence.
I ask myself are these staff really capable and trustworthy enough to handle prescriptions and potentially life saving medicines, what I witnessed today made me seriously doubt that.

The pharmacy dispensed incorrect insulin to my elderly mother. This error put her in hospital for 7 days. The pharmacy will not answer my emails. If you try and make a complaint they will not respond. If this happens to you make an online complaint using the complaint form on the GPhC website

I have voted with my feet and moved to Kamsons Pharmacy in Pound Hill. Fed up of the long queues, prescriptions never being ready, staff working is messy and chaotic environment, telling me I had already collected my prescription when I hadn’t. I hope the owner of the business reads this and gives the staff the help, training and support they need.

Never answer the phone, the staff are useless, rude and unhelpful its a mission every 6 weeks when I need to collect my prescription.
time to start using another pharmacy.
Can't see this place surviving much longer anyway.

Appalling service, very rude disorganised and incompetent. My husband went back for the rest of the prescription and rather than look properly for it they said they lost it. They refused to look for it and while taking personal phone call with shop full of customers they just ignored him and refused to serve him. He was told they lost the prescription and they don’t know what to do. My son needed his medication before going for holidays and even though it was paid for they wouldn’t give it to him. After couple of hours they found it under the counter filed under wrong letter. The shop was closed by then. When my husband left the pharmacy there was an angry and violent I presume boyfriend of the pharmacy assistant waiting for him to confront and threaten him. Absolutely disgraceful and appalling and I will report this to trading standards.

For sometime I have dreaded having to go to the Crawley Down pharmacy when a certain young woman is working. She never greets, smiles says please or thank you and has a face like she has swallowed a wasp. I have just had the most distressing experience with this woman and cannot believe the way she spoke to me. The pharmacist obviously doesn’t control her he just looked scared to get involved. As she does not use customary pleasantries I just ask for what I want and don’t use them either - this is something very alien to me, as a shopkeepers daughter I was taught that to be polite was paramount. As I departed the store she facetiously had the nerve to say “you’re welcome” under her breath. I wasn’t going to take this rudeness so when I returned and took her to task on her customer service skills I was treated to the most appalling diatribe. I cannot believe that this woman can talk to customers in such a manner. How on earth does she get away with this? Why is she not managed?
I have used the pharmacy since it opened and always was one of the greatest defenders against criticism. I never want to enter that store again. I will be contacting the owning company but as they are a large concern I doubt whether they will be bothered about such a minion member of staff. Such a shame that this woman disgraces our lovely village with her disgraceful behaviour

I have never come across such a change from the previous owner a very helpful and caring team well organised the new owners are the polar opposite unapologetic when they can’t find your prescription and have to reorder it, they leave you standing there for 15 or 20 mins without any update with what is happening. I have changed to Lloyds Direct I can’t waste any more time in that place.
I wouldn’t give 1 star but it won’t let me leave a review shame.
