Worst Gp practice in Borehamwood.
I’ve been having this Gp for over 8 years and I only managed to get 3 emergency appointments. I have to go either A&E or waking centers every time we have a problem. The booking system it’s a disgrace. You can’t even call anymore for an appointment. I have friends with other Gp’s and they never had problems in booking an appointment.
Doctors are actually good at the Grove medical but the problem it’s that you can’t get to them because of the bad booking system.

The absolute worst appointment booking system, you are not able to book an appointment unless you fill out a form online, however every time you try there is a message telling you they have filled their quota for the day, its a system designed to frustrate and simply make it more difficult to see a GP, perhaps that's the idea, hoping the patients will just go away. It’s no wonder patient satisfaction is at an all time low. The patient should be priority. The care is no longer there.

Been with this practice over 30 years however feel I am not a patient of this surgery as haven’t managed to get an appointment every time I’ve rung in the last year! Receptionist sounds like she can’t be bothered and will happily tell you there’s no appointments! Once you fight your way persistently to be seen they conveniently last minute find a slot and when you get there the surgery is empty! Please change receptionist to someone who is more medically caring!!!!! This is why A&E are so overrun as many times would rather send people there for a standard appointment then book them in!!!

I'd give this practice 0 stars if I could. I've been neglecting my health ever since I joined this practice four years ago simply becasue it's very difficut booking appointments there. It used to be difficult as the only way was to call at 8am daily (and only then!) and hope to get one (and never to manage to). Now it's not any easier - you go online but can only do so at 7:30am (not all patients are available at that exact moment! It's an online service, why must it be so rigid), and again, failing that, you must try again the day after. Not all appointments are extremely urgent, why can't one just book an appointment for later in the week, or even a week after? Having failed, time after time, to book an appointment there, I opted to move to another practice, where I understand they operate differently. Shameful.

I've been with this surgery for several years. I have Multiple Sclerosis and have regular medical issues. I've read the reviews and think they're very unfair.
So appointments - the surgery is oversubscribed and appointments can be problematic. You need to phone at 8a.m. for on the day appointments, before this involved being on hold for up to 30 minutes, now they have a call back facility which works really well.
The receptionists have to perform a difficult job and patients need to understand this, being rude or aggressive is unacceptable.

I've seen several doctors here and they all have been very good, not rushing the appointment and being very efficient.

I've read complaints about obtaining blood tests, it's true these aren't easily available however it's very easy to get the paperwork from the surgery and attend one of the local hospitals where you can book online a few days in advance.

All of the NHS is under extreme pressure and I'm grateful for what they do. Thank you all

Horrible people. I had 3 appointments with GP within the last 3-4 months asking for a referal to screen my stomach against the cancer as I have been having massive pain for months and months. Plus to that, they were informed on 3 occasions that my father died due to cancer cells in his stomach in the past. GPs have been informed about that and haven't managed to issue any referral for screening so far, any, not even mentioning that it has to be done immediately, by law. I pay taxes. The receptionist, which is a very rude, bossy, incredibly arrogant and ignorant person on constant basis, can not even admit her mistake that she didn't put medication request through to the doctor last week and I wasn't prescribed anything. She shouldn't work in Grove Medical Centre at all, her patient skills are just awful. I requested an appointment on Tuesday at 7.30 am meaning this is the same day appointment or next day, within 48 hours, but she gave me an appointment for Friday the 17th of May and refused to change the date because she is abusive and racist as I am not a British national. She violated the rules to issue appointment within 48 hours. I am still with no any medication for treatment. She told that Dr. Shapira requested to do that, but I don't believe this is true, I am sure she decided that herself. Many thanks for your abuse and hellcare at its worst.
