My mother-in-law, has been at Grove park for over two years now. She has severe dementia, is bed-bound and requires 24/7 attention. Everyone from the security guards, the food delivery guys, the nursing staff and the admin staff, have been absolutely incredible with her and us. Mum has had several trips to the hospital due to her advance state, breathing problems etc and they have always been spectacularly caring. Also for my father-in-law who is 93 and is hard for him to hear and walk, they are always looking after him when he comes and visits her. Me and my husband cannot thank the staff enough for all they have done for Rosemary D. I've read the other comments here and they are for the patients in the other side of the care home that have mental problems and drug addictions. They obviously need more care and is not fair their comments to the staff. The staff is there looking after everyone. We have a great experience at Grove Park, all the staff are smiley, helpful, sweet, caring. They look after the patients and our mum, cut her hair, make her nails, make sure she eats, she is always clean, she is very well taken care of. This has given the whole family peace of mind. The staff organise also activities for the patients and the families. We were very lucky to be able to attend one and we loved seeing the love and effort they put on everything. I have a few pics of the day. Thank you Catarina, the nurses, the carers, the food guys, the security guards, everyone thank you so much! ,❤️

Currently on section 3 in this hospital. Cannot fault the place. The psychology team at Grove Park is phenomenal I cannot thank them enough for all the work they have done with me. I really enjoyed the activities especially the pottery workshops. The HCAs are really good at their jobs and they have very good knowledge on mental health to support us with our journeys. I am very happy to recommend anyone coming to grove park.

For all intents and purposes, this place is a 𝖕𝖗𝖎𝖘𝖔𝖓 for those who haven't committed any crime. I am locked in and not allowed to even have a power cord or perfume.

The staff are pushy, obnoxious, and medically incompetent. The decor is 1*. The mattress is as hard as a brick. The bed linen is smelly. The food is disgusting. No napkins - use toilet paper instead.

A week has passed - no treatment, no assessment. The state pays them £1,600 𝕡𝕖𝕣 𝕨𝕖𝕖𝕜, so no rush to discharge me. I am certain people at MRI receive backhands.

Why was I dragged across the country to this dumpster? The GMC will conduct a proper investigation.

If it gave the option for no stars then it would be none…

My partner has been stuck in here for just over a month, she has been denied basic health care, and has been dehumanised in so many ways, not being allowed out when she was told she would be allowed too, because staff just fob you off and hope you go away and don’t ask again the majority of the time, having to keep begging for her medication and still be ignored, she was neglected for medical treatment, she had been falsely promised or told something would happen and is was NEVER adhered too.
She would just be left in her room and left to it with no support, she was denied the right so many times to actually see and get involved in on her own care plan.
Forcefully over medicated and when suffered side effects, no one would care to adjust it or change it you’re just ignored.
She was never told when she would be having medication so often sometimes at random times it was just forced on her.
It’s so backwards it’s unbelievable, patients kicking off left right and centre and then are able to go on leave, almost like it’s rewarding the behaviour.

When ringing up the ward to actually speak to someone and actually get some answers as to what is going on with your loved one, you are either hung up on, told to call back later or have a person of the other side of the phone saying hmmm.

Just absolutely no compassion at all.

Nurses and doctors all band together to label you as a problem if you actually tell them they’re doing there jobs wrong and make it hell for you, trying to make it impossible for you to leave, and lose the only tiniest bit of hope or strength you have.

Amazes me how you can have some of the people who have no compassion, or consideration work in a mental health hospital.

In massive breach of the medication policy, mental health act, health and safety act, the list is pretty endless.

Looking at the state of the ladies mental health ward and their CQC reports

The thought of them caring for dementia is TERRIFYING

Allergic to paracetamol nurse and a doctor reccomended Co codomol for pain relief

Came in 2 weeks ago no care plan, no support and that short staffed it's dangerous

You gace a care olan you cant read

Allocated nurses for no reason

Lovely dangerous staffing levels, lovely doctors who would rather have their sleep in money than come see you

Read the Google reviews....our lives are worth more than £1500-£2200 a week funded by the NHS

Let the HCAs run it and it'll be perfect.

Beautiful bubbly amazing HCA staff beaten by the blind leading the blind in managerment

Agency nurses, full time nurses? Who knows they're all incompetent from the ground up

You might be lucky and get a decent one, but they stab you I'm the back as soon as look at you

I'd be surprised if the NMC is even checked

Apparent nurses who mock the service users, don't listen, and laugh in their faces

You cant grieve for family you can't get upset through the threat of bring stabbed and over medicated

You gace female HCAs on night shifts het the men are looking in to check on you..

Where is the dignity? Respect? Fishbowl mentality

Promote mental health? They're sn abomination to mental health

Trust the CQC, trust a vet surgery more.

You want to be well? I wouldn't waste your life here

All they are interested in is the money you are worth to their budget they do not put back within the house

Signed an ex mental health manager

Prepare to sit here and serve all of your section 2

I applied to the ward manager vongai then claims to be stupid and says she helped

28 days later despite asking for help I am still here

Thankfully Dr Khan despite his best efforts wasn't able to get the section 3 him and nurse Vicki was pushing for

Thank god for an independent doctor coming out and pushing for me to be informal

Over 28 days here, and absolutely no support

The HCAs are beautiful people and will bend over backwards to support you

It's a shame that their hierarchy of nurses is too broken for their voices to be heard

From the nursing team to the clinical director Patrick and the CQC holder Louise the problem is too deep to change

Launching your own internal complaint which doesn't get hears then damage control on the day before you are meant to leave

To have your freedom threatened yet again

Just like I've been threatened to be injected just for grieving on the ward

Westbourne is broken, if you are stuck here good luck.

You might see your freedom in 6 months

really low quality of care, though some nurses are good, my partner is here and has had to ask multiple times for simple things like his inhaler, other medications and even a sick note. even now as a ‘voluntary’ patient they’ve cancelled his transport back home because they couldn’t be arsed and now he’s stuck there for longer. everything has been done without him being kept informed and for a voluntary patient it seems he has no say.

Cannot believe the nurses have so much time on their hands they have to come out and attack neighbours that live close to their newly built new nursing home about parking when the very same nurse has crashed into nearly every car on the linkway and just drive off Absolutely disgusting behaviour They have damaged my own personal vehicle They have run into my work vehicle damaging it and driving off no regard for anyone else but themselves.
Yeah I wouldn't trust them with the Fox I fed at the back window never mind my dog
I have videos for more information

The staff their were patient supportive and understanding they always did their best to stop me from self-harming. The only issue I had there was the main doctor he was very patronising and condescending.
