Stunning sandy beach with lots different types of seaweed and rocks. The dunes behind were full of wildlife. We walked from craster to Newton low along the beach. We even ventured a toe in the water. Partly because at one point it was the only way across. IIf you're walking to the pub in the village, aim to get there before 3 pm.

A lovely place to visit we just weren’t very lucky as the weather turned out to be bad, but despite the weather we’ve still enjoyed our day out.

We decided to do a beach walk at one lovely evening after visiting Seahouses while going back to Alnwick, and randomly choose Low Newton, we parked in a layby as we arrived 10 minutes before the carpark became free at 6pm. It wasn't very busy but we didn't walk very far as it was high tide, however the view along the beach is stunning of Dunstanburgh Castle, would highly recommend. The green space outside the fishing houses (which are now holiday lets) and pub was busy but it was another bit of interest on our walk.

The most beautiful beach and nature reserve. Soft sand, peaceful walks and great views. The ship inn is highly recommended. There’s a car park and bird hide. Loved it here.

Met some runners from the famous annual Castles and Islands Race early one morning. They were running back from their fifth castle overnight and then rowing back to their yacht to race back to Amble.
Shared our huge bacon butties (from Dunstanbrough Golf Club) with the marshalls.
