We have recently moved to Chichester and sadly have both had to see a doctor more than usual. We have been so impressed with the doctors that we have consulted at this surgery - very professional, compassionate and kind and feel very lucky that we have chosen this practice. The receptionists that I have spoken to on numerous occasions have all been knowledgeable, helpful and friendly and should be commended.

I can only imagine how difficult it is to be a GP in the current climate - Lavant Road do a wonderful job in difficult circumstances.

Dr Kwong was very kind and reassuring to my 12 year old daughter when we visited. I felt that she was listened to and given time to answer any questions. We both came away feeling reassured and that we had been able to explain all our concerns to the dr. Thank you.

Having switched from another local practice, I have just returned from my first appointment and cannot express the depths of the relief I experienced meeting with Dr. Barnett. Her seemingly boundless experience, knowledge and compassion gave me a considerable and necessary boost after a difficult period with my health. I feel extremely fortunate, and in the very best of hands.

Horrendous care given to my wife by Dr Lewis.
Came in for a referral for a skin condition she has suffered with since a child ( hospitalised daily for a full body wrap )
The condition is now better but flares up regularly.

Upon receiving the news her yearly referral was being cancelled she asked to see a Dr to get it back !

My wife explained the condition to Dr Lewis ( whom is clearly incompetent having read and heard other reveiws about him) who instead suggested my wife was stressed and depressed!
For context we have 3 children including a 5 week old baby so obviously over tired and stressed but not to the point that it is depression.
And the stress is making the skin flare up so even more reason to grant the immediate referral!

When my wife said it was not depression or being overly emotional, He instead insisted her condition wasn't bad atall and said he wouldn't do an immediate referral.

It's clear from several reviews on here and feedback from the local community Dr Lewis does not have a clue about women or how to provide their medical care properly.
Will be filing an official complaint and moving GPs / doctor .

The doctors I have seen have always given me plenty of time, really listened and been supportive. At times it's difficult to get an appointment but that's a countrywide issue and not the fault of the surgery.

I'm writing on behalf of my elderly Mum who had an accident whilst travelling abroad and we were inundated with medical questions from the hospital aboard concerning an orthopaedic procedure. The service that my family and I have received from Dr Jackson and all the senior reception team has been nothing short of brilliant. At this difficult time Mum really needed assistance and knowing the challenges that the NHS face particularly at winter we never thought that we would have such quick clear and very courteous turnarounds on the questions. Mum was a practice nurse in her working days and did her best for everyone and it is so good to know that exceptional care professionalism in the NHS is all alive and well !

Over 10 years I have been registered with this surgery, and I have never felt comfortable or confident in the service provided by my GP, and now I feel as I’ve nowhere to turn, 2 male gps usual culprit being Dr Lewis and Dr Jackson very antagonising awful, upsetting and shameful almost. 2 locum doctors I’ve see here were fantastic, made me feel after so many years I was finally getting somewhere, then to be completely derailed by my regular doctor.

I have been a patient at this surgery for about 26 years now and I feel very lucky to have chosen this surgery all those years ago out of the several that there are in Chichester. I have been particularly lucky with the GPs that I have had there who have all been absolutely superb. I am on my third and only lose them when they retire! Special shout out for my current GP Dr Catherine Hall who is incredible. The reception staff and practice nurses are all very good too. Yes there have been some problems over those 26 years but very few and all have been resolved quickly.
