I read negative comments on here about the surgery, and I think they are a little harsh.
I have just had a reply to my request within 24 hours and that to me is very good .
The work load for the people has increased considerably and we .Just understand that.
Remember if you treat the staff with respect they will do thier damdest for you.

Sent an E consult, they did not read any of the information correctly, including the times I could be available to attend with my 1yr (her appointment)
When they called me they offered me a time I couldn’t do, then offer to amend it but couldn’t confirm “we will call you back” this was at 0930,
At 1420 I rang again - to be told I had been give an appointment at 1445! They had “sent me a text” - not to my number!
Only to drop everything and rush in!
Lovely doctor - my little girl has croup cough, along with some advise - one of which to place her in a Streamy room, but then later I check the NHS website only to be told the opposite and NOT to do this…. Tomorrow we are moving practice!

This practice is appalling and has now got worse. Ironically when I'm ill I try and avoid this surgery as much as possible and seek alternatives or private care where possible. Too much to go into but nothing goes smoothly where this surgery is concerned and even a simple prescription gets messed up repeatedly leaving the patient physically running about between the pharmacist and the surgery as one can never get through by phone to either. I wonder if anyone from there actually reads these reviews?. I doubt it. To be fair Dr Stow has always been efficient and helpful but I was told you can't have a specific doctor now. Another right taken away from us. People are getting seriously ill and very distressed as a result of this poorly run practice. What else can I say!

First registered at wyke from birth in 1963. Sorry to say I am leaving, from great to terrible…terrible triage system means you have to tell the receptionist your problems, or they won’t do anything no such thing as a private problem…have to wait over a month for an appointment and that’s with a locum! Receptionist sounds like a teenager who doesn’t give a damn.

I’ve been told I need specific medication from a health professional. Receptionist told me if I’m in pain and need it cal 111 or go to hospital. I was told by physio to see GP urgently poor service!

Most rudest receptionist, gps and consultants rude. 7 week wait for urgent referral that the surgery sent incorrectly 19 months ago as urgent.1 star is too good

I’ve recently moved to the area and I can honestly say I am amazed at the service I am receiving by Wyke Surgery and the local community hospital. This positive experience includes filling out the form online to gain an appointment, communication, timely appointments relevant to the severity of my symptoms (2 separate issues), staff, parking, access to x-ray and follow up appointments. Having another surgery to compare, I am certainly more comfortable with Wyke Surgery being my future support.

Since this practice has been taken over it has gone down hill very quickly, the only reason I have not changed is because of Dr Stow the best doctor I have ever been treated by, she is not judge mental very easy to talk to and is a fantastic GP but I find it very difficult to get an appointment with Dr Stow or in fact any other Doctor you say in your blerb that we can make appointments on line using system on line this has been stopped since the pandemic so you need to update your statements. As for the practice manager ms Klust I only had to speak with her once and found her very aggressive and un helpful as was her relative when she made an appointment with me to see a Doctor when as I told her it should be with a Nurse, don't think she lasted long. Bring back the old system that worked.
