Excellent and very professional service at this independent opticians. Friendly relaxed customer centered approach from everyone. A really comprehensive eye test undertaken by Kelly the optometrist with enough time taken to do the job properly and everything clearly explained. I came here by personal recommendation and am very happy to recommend.

Fantastic opticians with first class service. First opticians that I've ever used where they encouraged me not to spend more than needed! As someone who is immunocompromised, it was wonderful to be asked if I wanted the team to wear masks too. Phillip took time to explain everything he was doing, and why, and really put me at ease. If only all businesses would adopt the absolutely outstanding, friendly, professional, caring and polite way in which A&J conduct their business.

Philip and James made me feel very welcome, they discussed every aspect of my eye care, they were thorough, I was not rushed whatsoever and I did not feel pressured either.

Everything was explained in fine detail, with detailed conversations around all my results. I opted for the ‘full works’ in eye tests including the very latest piece of kit in technology called an OCT scanner. This device photographs your eye in extreme detail including cross sections of nerves and is a great way for testing for early Glaucoma as well as several other eye related issues which at my age is so important. It is also linked in to a worldwide network of results meaning my scans are measured against other people of my age, ethnicity and health conditions meaning my results are a true picture of what my eyes should look like for someone of my age etc.

I could not fault this experience today whatsoever. 5* service from a small local business.

Friendly staff, very good opticians and pleasant atmosphere while waiting in the sitting area. There are plenty of books and toys to keep children busy too. I recommend this local practice
