I’ve been seeing Dr. Akash Ghandi for help with my PCOS, and I couldn’t be more grateful for his care. He takes the time to explain everything in detail, making sure I fully understand my symptoms and treatment options. He’s incredibly patient, always open to my questions, and ensures that I’m comfortable and happy with the decisions we make together. His communication is excellent, and I never feel rushed during appointments. It’s clear that he genuinely cares about his patients’ well-being. I highly recommend him to anyone looking for a knowledgeable and compassionate doctor and isn’t afraid to hear you out! 🙂

If I could give this practice 0 stars and it allowed me to do so, I would. THE absolute worst GP in the world. They never have appointments. And if they have an appointment the issue isn’t dealt with adequately nor appropriately.

1) has a cyst under my arm since 2019. Had about a few calls and appointments about them. It took 5 years for them to finally send me to get it surgically removed.

2) I have a disability and it takes them ages for them to prescribe what my neuro doctors have asked them to provide me. If anything, they’ve made me do their job for them by doing the communication for them through other doctors.

3) you’ll become even more ill before you actually are given an appointment. They never have appointments and they tell you to call at 8 and that’s it, no appointments when you actually call at 8am. Been here for over 10 years and it’s the same story. No appintmenrs. No callbacks. No concerned to their actual patients.

4) THE RECEPTIONISTS are the most disrespectful people on this planet. To them shouting down the phone at you, lying just so you can use this “e-consult”. Do you guys get bonuses for every patient you make use the e consult to beg to speak to a doctor? It doesn’t work first of all properly. Secondly, to be told the doctor will get into contact with you today if you use it. Then lie. Then when asked to get the manager to look into it… that doesn’t happen.

5) Don’t bother with this place. In order to have a healthier lifestyle - don’t bother.

Have been a patient here for many years. Can't fault any of the staff from reception through to doctors, nurses and HCAs as they have all dealt with medical problems promptly. Consultations have never felt hurried and everyone I've interacted with have been personable and knowledgeable. I can't fault the e consult system and getting a face to face appointment hasn't been an issue. My check ups are proactively arranged by staff and my most recent visit was with Dr Fong who was impressively thorough, with her arranging further investigations as one of the markers for my kidney function was borderline normal and she took the initiative in prescribing a safer dose because of it. My regular GP, Dr H Patel takes time to really listen and knows my conditions well, regularly asking how I'm doing. Very good service throughout.

Terrible practice, nurses / reception menace you by phone calling you by private number, I've been verbally abused by phone about to take appointment, this when I was ill to my feet and without possibility to walk, and gp practice should knew that, stating I spoke about this with a doctor that same day! No one looks like understand nothing about med issues in here, not even if you tell them clearly what do you have! I'm gone 3 times with 3 different issues and they solved none.Don't bother to register, they're here to waste your time.
An exemple ? I've been menaced by phone because im gone there having 2 months of period, you know what they could tell me about it? Nothing but hey, they found out that I had signs of past hpv and they can bother me once per year to tell me on a loop Same thing again and again. Funny that I knew it since 2020,and was being told to me at least 3 times already, practically every year to every smear test, a doctor think found out something new.
I called because my feet swallen up and I was feeling excessive pain to legs and feet, the doctor had no idea on what to do so prescribed me last thing was been prescribed to me before, naproxene for toothaches. Very dangerous lack of medical training.
My repeat prescription was canceled with no notification and no reason. Very dangerous for someone with asthma, luckily I'm going to private healthcare, I'm very scared for whoever trust this practice. Good luck patients. Ps :NEVER HAD ANY RESULT BY NONE OF THEIR EXAMS! very scary the level in this practice.Awful place. Very low level.

The doctor I saw was very incompetent and was not listening to what the patient, me, had to say, he kept disregarding my knee pain, which let me tell you I am in extreme pain and you would expect a doctor who has studied how to deal with patients for years to be understanding but no, he was dismissive, rude and blunt, I am very disappointed to say the least and would urge the surgery to have a meeting with the doctors and explain that this shouldn’t be happening. You have to be understanding, listen to what the patient is telling as they are in pain and expect you to help but instead you act like this? Very unprofessional.

I've been a patient of Eastmead Surgery for around 30 years now and have rarely experienced any problems. Whilst I can understand some of the negative reviews, I think that it's unfair to blame the staff and Dr's who I've always found to be excellent and willing to take time to listen to any problems.

I had an appointment with Dr Kamboj for the first time today and can say she was truly amazing. She was very kind, compassionate and funny as well!!! I have nothing but praise for her and I hope she's a GP at Eastmead Surgery for many years to come.

I think sometimes we, as patients need to take a step back to think about the pressures Dr's and surgery staff face. Especially after the covid pandemic and chronic underfunding of the NHS for many years.

I've been a patient here for years along with the rest of my family and I'm generally quite happy with the practice.

The doctors are really helpful and caring and think about what is best for you.

The receptionists are usually very helpful and polite. They are very busy at 8 and 2 when day appointments become available so for anything that isn't urgent I try to call outside of these times, as reception have more time to deal with your queries.

It can be quite hard to get an appointment at times, although I think this is the same at any practice, and when I've needed a doctor urgently, reception have always made sure that I've had a telephone consultation, been referred to an urgent care centre, or in one case, another doctor's surgery.

Reading all of the less happy comments, I felt that I should share my experience with the practice. Me and my family have been with this practice for few years now. Unfortunately, we had to attend few times in the last few months due to various health problems experienced. I only have good things to say about the practice. From the receptionist to the GP's, everyone was helpful and professional. The e-consult works great from my point of view and made a huge difference in the waiting time. Considering the struggle that the NHS goes trough currently we are more that greatful for a good health service.
