As someone who as had 12 inpatient hospital stays at local hospitals in 2 years this is my first at the manor the difference is 200%the best hospital I have stayed at..the friendliness of all the staff is best to none . absolutely clean in wards and corridors ..food something to die for choice could be a bit better especially for low fibre diet.and could be asked earlier than that at meal time so have time to make a choice .would cut down on waste but that's a small point overall the management team are doing a super job of providing a first class service within the refines of a tight budget.plus your kept upto date with your treatment .
In future ambulance staff will be asked to only take me to the manor

A beautiful hospital. The car park is clean with clearly displayed signs. I saw maintenance workers litter picking outside which is nice to see. Pay when you leave (the machines are by the entrance , very handy ) again clearly displayed. The receptionist was loverly and helpful. What I found really nice was for a hospital the colourful windows, nice and bright allowing the sun light in. The signs in the hospital are clear so you can easily find where you’re going with escalators and lifts which again is handy. There’s a spar, Costa everything you could need and a charity shop which was loverly to see I did pop in . All the staff were friendly and approachable. I really did have a positive experience there.

Very poor service , nobody here is helpfull , 5 people working in the reception they are very rude when simply asked how long is the waiting , we waited 4 and half hour an absolute waste of time , people go there for emergency services and nobody there can help , doctors there absolutely waste of time , they see 1 patient and they call nobody for hours , here every patient comes with the hope that a doctor would see them , they are joking with each other eating drinking and taking their money from NHS which ran by public and won't give the service to public , these people are absolutely horrible. Please replace these people with people who actually cares

My experience at Manor Hospital's A&E department was nothing short of appalling. After arriving in excruciating pain at 11:30 pm on Wednesday, I endured an agonizing 11-hour wait in the waiting room until 9 am the following morning. Despite repeated inquiries, I was informed that only one GP was working the entire night, a completely unacceptable staffing level for an emergency department.

Throughout the night, I found the receptionists to be unhelpful, and the nurses displayed a shocking lack of care and diligence in assessing my condition. When I finally had a consultation with a GP, it lasted a mere three minutes if that after an 11-hour wait.

This experience highlights the glaring inadequacies of Manor Hospital's A&E department.
Action must be taken to address these systemic failures, as no one should endure such suffering while seeking urgent medical attention. I will be writing to the head office to ensure that these issues are not swept under the rug and that meaningful improvements are made to prevent others from enduring similar neglect and mistreatment.

Five STARS are not enough 4 Wonderful Walsall Manor Hospital

I came out of Walsall hospital only yesterady (after spending two nights on WARD 10). The level fo care was first class. Every single member of staff was exceptional. I am so very graeteful for the care and attention I received. I only wished I could thank each and ecery person involved. The ward was full. Yet the enitre team of professional staff, stood up and delivered. I'm back home now and determined to some how give back to the wonderful care and attention that i received.
All i can say for now is 'Thank you and God Bless' .

Really disappointed in reception service tonight. My son had an incision made in his gum at 1.00pm by the dentist. At 530pm it was still bleeding heavily. I phoned dentist who advised us to go back. Dentist was great, gave shot of adrenaline to stop bleeding and put stitches in.
45 minutes later it was bleeding again.
At dentist was now closed I phoned 111 (medically trained personnel) who advised me to take my son to A and E. It is a 45 minute drive, approximately 5 mins before arriving the bleeding stopped.
Given it had bled for 8 hours, with only a short break and after stitches I was concerned. Receptionist told me doctors would not do anything or look at it as it was due to a tooth bring extracted. I explained he hadn’t had a tooth extracted and it was the length of time it had bled for that concerned me. Receptionist told me she’d also had a tooth out and it bled for ages . She said I needed to take him back to the dentist. When pushed she agreed hers hadn’t bled for hours and continued to bleed after stitches. The colleague to get left commented he might just be a bleeder and his blood doesn’t clot.
When prompted by her colleague to the right the receptionist said we could wait and see a doctor if we wanted but in her experience he wouldn’t be treated. I asked her what she advised and she explained she wasn’t medically trained and couldn’t advise. Strange when she’d already advised a doctor would not treat him as it related to the mouth.
I was then asked to stand to the side as there was someone behind me.
I expressed my concern and was told I had been given choices and if I wanted to stay I would be seen by a doctor.
No customer care, no empathy, no compassion and certainly no time to inclination to listen to the problem and what 111 had advised. I am baffled as to why a receptionist with no medical training would think it was ok to advise the opposite to medically trained 111 personnel.
I’m not entitled and I don’t expect red carpet treatment. However, having worked in education for over 30 years and regularly liaising with concerned parents I do expect a basic level of compassion from a health care front line service.
Not the level of care I’ve previously experienced at The Manor.

My auntie is currently in ward 10 and after waiting over a week for an operation they finally took her down today after getting herself all worked up they tell her there was some kind of contamination and had to cancel. I then rang the hospital to see what was happening and a nurse named Amy was horrible to me and put the phone down on me. It is honestly the worst ward I have ever visited. Although the doctor on the ward was lovely some of the nurses have the worst attitude I've ever seen.
