Phoned this morning 14,02,24 to make an appointment, said I need an appointment today and they said they have one at 9.00 wow great didn't expect that, got to the surgery at 8.50 tried to check in and they told me the appointment was for Monday the 19,02,24. This surgery is a bloody joke, how are they still open?

If I could put 0 stars I would. I’ve always been frustrated with this surgery, but I called in the morning to get an appointment and I was on hold for 20 mins then once all the appointments were gone they just hang up on you. Today I called at 5:30 and 25 last 6 still on hold (the queue length was 6 people) and I am still waiting to get through barring in mind the surgery closes at 6:30! So it’s clear they are waiting for the lines to close before answering my call! 1 hour on hold with a queue of only 5 people?!

Virtually impossible to get an appointment and every time I have called the receptionist has been cold and rude.

Disgusting customer service.

One star is over generous.

I have called 3 times in one week to get an appointment each time I waited for over half an hour and still no appointment.

Just before you can speak to them they say, some of our staff have been verbally attacked. I wonder why? Not me btw.

Whoever is in charge of the Surgery needs to buck their ideas up and have words with reception. It does not cost anything to be nice and to speak to people in a civil manor, especially when they are desperately in need of help.

Maybe a online booking service could be used, just an idea!

I don't often write reviews but Stockhill often get a bad press and I felt the need to share my experience. . Each time I've had reason to contact the surgery recently they have been excellent. I tend to complete econsults online which has worked out really well. I completed an econsult last Thursday and on Monday received a very efficient email from the doctor, addressing my queries, requesting a blood test for me and a follow up appointment to discuss the findings. I rang the surgery to ask about booking the blood test and Karen who I went through to was extremely helpful and patient, going through the various options for me for blood tests, doctors appointment, flu jab and asthma clinic. I didn't feel rushed at all as I have in the past and came off the phone a few minutes later feeling really happy that what I thought might be stressful was made easy and efficient for me. So, thank you Karen and thank you Stockhill. Things are definitely looking up.

Some of the receptionists can be rude at times and some of them are really polite and friendly. Most of the doctors I have seen have been caring & professional but one in particular Dr Sylvia Stefanova is a disgrace, no compassion, overlooks you, prescribed my son fungal cream that he was too young for (pharmacist had to call her to correct her mistake) and more recently scratched my newborns eye when taking a swab for infection as there was no care given. Worst doctors surgery I have ever been to. I call at 8 in the morning and 10 minutes later I get through to be told only emergency appointments are available or I’m number 21 in the queue dead on 8 in the morning. However they have a lovely nursing team.

I have just spent 40 minutes held on the phone, I spent 25 of them as being number 1 in the queue. It is now 17.24hrs and I have simply hung up. The medical staff here are great but the reception process and getting through is appalling, and it's been so for a long time, doesn't anybody who counts at this surgery ever read the reviews? I was calling with a query as I wanted to help reduce footfall to the practice, but it looks like I will simply have to go there, what a Shambles

RUDE UNHELPFUL WITH A PHARMACIST YOU CANNOT UNDERSTAND!! Wanted me to spell a medication…….a pharmacy doesn’t know how to spell a med!! Put the phone down on me saying I was rude when it was them! I have severe mental health. No chance to explain I was spoken over and again phone put down

Getting an appointment here is unreasonably difficult. You have to ring on the day - you can't book in advance. The phone queue system is completely inadequate, the receptionists can't deal with calls in a reasonable time and there aren't enough appointments to go around.

There is a phone queue system once you first dial, if the line will allow you to connect in the first place without hanging up. It turns out this is only counting down to a generic pre-recorded message about coronavirus. After this has played, you are entered into another queue, but without any indication of position. In total today I waited over an hour and a quarter just to be told there were no appointments left.
