By far the best doctors surgery I’ve ever experienced. Reception staff friendly, doctors are superb along with the nurses, no trouble getting appointments and dispensary staff are efficient and also very friendly. Highly recomended

I have had the privilege of attending this surgery since 1997. When I speak to other people about their surgeries I realise how lucky I am. Over the years I have attended for myself or with my 2 daughters and I have never had one bad experience. I must say though just recently I have had to attend a few times and I cannot thank Dr Dawson enough for being so kind and understanding. He has given me lots of information and been so compassionate. This isn’t the first time I have experienced his lovely manner. Definitely a massive asset at this lovely surgery

I consider myself very lucky to have Rowghedge surgery as my doctors. Easy to get an appointment when needed and staff always friendly and helpful. Believe me this isnt the case for alot of people in Colchester. Thank to all at the surgery.

Wonderful surgery
I have been registered at the surgery for 30+ years and cannot praise enough all the staff for their professionalism, kindness and helpfulness. I consider myself very lucky to have such a great local surgery.For the last 8 years both my husband and I have been patients of Doctor Dawson and have found him to be an excellent doctor. He has shown an enormous amount of empathy in dealing with our medical conditions and has provided us with great support, for which we are eternally grateful. He is always prepared to go the extra mile and nothing is too much trouble. Medical aspects are carefully explained and in such a way that a lay person can understand.
I cannot fault Doctor Dawson for his dedication and the kind and caring manner in how he treats his patients.
Thank you Doctor Dawson for being our GP, Mike and I are very grateful.

I've been signed up with Rowhedge GP surgery since moving here 7 years ago. They have looked after me and my husband beautifully. Any time we've needed anything, they've been there for us. I don't know what the people who are leaving negative reviews here have experienced - it's certainly not what I have found.
In particular, I've found Dr. Dawson and Dr. Kanada extremely kind, helpful and knowledgeable. I consider myself lucky to be looked after by them and their wonderful colleagues.

Somebody was telling me this morning how rubbish their Doctors surgery was and how they always had problems with the people that work in their GP reception. I yet again had a brilliant service from mine at Rowhedge Surgery. Quickly through to reception first thing with a very friendly and helpful lady (think her name was Debbie) who arranged a call from the GP. The GP Dr Spears had called me within half an hour to arrange a visit to the surgery this afternoon. Excellent service as per usual and mind put at rest

I have been a patient for many years and have always received the very best care. Recently, I realised just how lucky I am to be registered at such a caring and efficient practice. Special thanks to Nurse Louise and Dr Dawson. They both showed so much empathy and reassurance for which I am so grateful.

A truly awful service this afternoon. They didn't send off my important medication request to the pharmacy like they always do. Been a few days and was without medication so i called the surgery.
Took 15 minutes to answer the phone even though I was first in the que. Explained situation, met with very cold, rude, unalologetic woman who couldn't even access my records due to her system being slow. I explained the urgency. The woman asked me to tell her why I needed it so badly. How rude!! I said i wasn't happy about this situation. She then said she answered the phone out of "courtesy" and that she shouldn't of answered the phone to me anyway. When I said how wrong that was, she put the phone down on me, terminating the call for ME being rude!! Am absolutely disgusted by this surgery and will be making a formal complaint.
