I went for my Covid vaccination and they had a very fast turnaround. All of the staff here are pleasant, helpful and polite with the exception of the receptionist who seemed to rather surly. Maybe she was just having a bad day!

I have been with NMP as long as I can remember. The waiting time can be horrendous at times and sometimes it feels like when I do get to see my nurse/doctor, they're always in a rush. Other than that the staff are polite and informal and the building is always clean and tidy.

The way this medical practice is run is ridiculous. They're rude on the phone, don't bother when you tell them it's an emergency and you need a prescription. They made my dad wait a day because I rang them at 8:20 and all appointments had gone, he has high blood pressure and heart problems. Some of the doctors are also rude and unhelpful, my dad went in with a sharp pain on his arm and they told him to take paracetamol, ended up going to the hospital. The only thing that saves this practice is the nurses they are lovely, caring and so helpful.

Went as a temp resident, got an appointment with the Nurse Practitioner, who wouldn't give me the painkillers needed and prescribed by a pain clinic Dr "As there is a drug issue here" and yes they are powerful, I knew this and the reason I told them ahead to contact my doc, I was then informed I was abusing my prescription and it wasn't her fault. She said I could try another Surgery but she wouldn't be issuing them! I have never been made to feel like that at Doctors.... ever!

Wouldn't listen that I had just arrived in the country and was away when the other prescription at my local Drs issued it.

I contacted my GP to see why info was on the notes, the prescription she seen was still at the chemist 300 miles away. But it took a receptionist to tell me to check this? She made no attempt to try and identify where the missing communication was. It's a bad day when the people treating you, don't listen, they already made up there mind. In addition she wouldn't prescribe the drugs she didn't feel comfortable with issuing.. NO idea why she is in Health services then. Even less of an idea why I was talking to her. No point in debating.

HOWEVER I did get a Doc on another appointment that would listen, made a call to confirm and called me back to help, if the practice had more of him, it would be a 5 * practice.

I spent more time down in the area than originally planned... that won't happen again.

Useless surgery receptionist rude as hell doctor tells you one thing but receptionist knows better and says another and then won't book you an appointment. I've got a health problem that needs to be monitored at the mo and this surgery doesn't seem to care. Ďigusted with this so called NHS surgery.

The doctors, nurses and other staff members at the Nelson medical center are very helpful and friendly. I have a few medical problems and all the way through the lock down they were there for me and never made me wait for long periods of time.

The competence of the receptionists is a non starter. 5 days waiting for an online repeat prescription and no priorities for NRI blood tests. Absolutely rediculous, my partner and I are looking for a new surgery.

Oh dear... two attempts at trying to make an appointment at the request of the practice. First phone call I gave up after 16mins 20secs this morning 10.46am (Monday, March 18). Second attempt that afternoon was 21mins 35 secs. Hopefully, the practice will refund my mobile phone bill... I will be sending them one.
