We’ve been coming to Newberry Clinic with one of our daughters for over a year.
Every single person that we have met, has been so warm, welcoming & helpful.
Her treatments & sessions have been amazing, we wouldn’t be where we are without our team here.
The negative reviews have left us very confused, as we’ve never had a bad experience, & we hope it won’t make you nervous about visiting if you get referred here.

My son has been diagnosed with autism, he has been on medication to help him sleep for over a year, throughout this time it has been an utter nightmare to get his medication. The person who deals with it is never there, I had to arrange delivery from hospital to pharmacy every single time, going iver the same thing a hundred times, it's got so bad that instead of liquid form I've changed it to tablets so we can go through the GP instead, still a complete nightmare! No communication from NewburyClinicto GP, GP doesn't have a clue, Newbury are not interested so the final result is no sleep medication, no sleep for my son or for me and nobody gives a F

Just can't get through on the phone. Been trying for 3 weeks and not once have they answered the phone. And to add insult they were on the phone as it was engaged, I called split second later and noone answered. So they were clearly by the phone.

When I saw the Google reviews, I was so nervous about coming here. I'm probably the oldest patient they've had to deal with for a child clinic (I was diagnosed about 2 months before my 18th).

Last year, I realised I'd be going to uni without an ADHD diagnosis or would turn 18 before I was diagnosed. When I told them about this, they were so understanding and kind. I'd been on the wait list about 1-2 years and was told I'd be seen in about May, however I needed to apply for student finance and DSA (disabled students allowance) for uni by then.

But because they knew my diagnosis had to be done ASAP, they managed to squeeze me in for an earlier appointment, (only got seen a few weeks earlier than expected, nothing major, but those few weeks meant I was able to get DSA for university.) From there the diagnosis process was so fast, but everything was still so carefully considered, and nothing missed.

I was so scared for the assessment because of the reviews, but the staff were so kind and lovely. (Specifically Kate! She was so lovely.) All of the staff where smiley and instantly made me feel less nervous. I was worried the docs would be all "have you tried focusing/a planner?" but they understood everything I said and didn't try make excuses like most doctors have before. They really understood and got me.

Since being diagnosed, they've called me frequently for checkups and, despite being over 18, they said they wouldn't discharge me until I was at uni, when I’d be settled on my meds. Their care goes above and beyond.

When I had an allergic reaction (only small) to the first set of meds they put me on, they got in contact with the adult clinic to ask about their usual second choice medication. As I was going to uni (and therefore without my family, friends, close network) and a side effect from that was more likely to be depressed, they decided I'd go on their third choice. A small thing like this, just the thinking and consideration of the staff was amazing.

I genuinely have no complaints about any of my time at the Newberry clinic because if I had any problems, they were quick to answer.

These reviews seem to be written mostly about an old doctor (whose name I didn't see when I was there, but may possibly still be there, I am unsure.) and I'm hoping this review will put anyone else who's nervous at ease.

The waiting is the most annoying bit about the clinic, but there isn't much they can do about the length of the waitlist. They see people as quickly as they can, and once you're in their care its smooth sailing.

My only bad comment is all the chairs in the waiting room where for small children so mum, dad and I had one leg per chair 😂

Inadequacy of services, absolutely failing children. Started in 2019, fobbed off with a cop-out 'diagnosis' of ED (a symptom, not diagnostic) over video call during Covid. I wrote a letter in 2021 detailing what would happen if they kept blaming appointment waits on Covid. 2023, child still not being looked after by the services despite lengthy professional conversations a year ago with a clear understanding of what the issues were, fobbed off to wait 10 months for OT to go into a specialist school to write up information we already all know and sent back same forms multiple times whilst child now enters regressive stage of behaviour's due to being left untreated.

Our child was seen by lead community paediatrician Dr Zeitlin. We told Dr Zeitlin went and made a referral for our son to be seen by an endocrinologist at the James Paget, however we told Dr Zeitlin that our child was under an endocrinologist at the Norfolk and Norwich and had being seen there for some time. Dr Zeitlin never told us at the appointment that she was going to make this referral, and never made reference to this in her clinical letter, which the gp would have seen as well. We spoke to the gps surgery about Dr Zeitlin doing this and they agreed that it was not ethical and appropriate for our child to be seen by two different endocrinologist's at two different hospitals. It was also highly inappropriate for Dr Zeitlin to conceal and not inform us as parents, and I would go as far to say that Dr Zeitlin was acting like our child's school ORMISTON ACADEMY LOWESTOFT in total denial and acting from a malicious template. It is clear that from the facts of this act Dr Zeitlin is in someway unfit to practice.

Absolutely useless, unhelpful, waste of precious time. So much time wasted to then be discharged with no given explanation! An then to add insult to it, they think that genetic neurological issues can be solved with councilling 😂
