Amazing service, easy to get to with free bus link from the local science park.

Volunteer at the gate to make sure you get to the right area. Really good reception staff.
I was an hour early for my appointment and I was seen as soon as I sat down.

There is a lovely refreshment van offering a great selection.

What an amazingly efficient hospital with wonderful staff. I arrived for a shoulder appointment early this morning and was assisted at the Drop Off parking bay by Lu Li the hospital main receptionist who was so helpful and kind.
I am currently suffering from balance issues and she escorted me to the Buttercup Unit where I reported to Helen the Receptionist for that area. She was also extremely helpful, efficient and understanding. She directed me to X-ray where again I was met by lovely and caring staff.
I was then promptly seen by the Consultant.
I could not have asked for a better NHS service, it was fantastic and I’d like to praise all the staff that I came in contact with during my appointment, they were truly exceptional. Thank you.

Had knee replacement surgery a week ago. What an amazing hospital with amazing staff running it. So kind and supportive from the moment you arrived. It felt like my second home for a couple of days as had to stay in overnight. Have to go back for second knee in a few months and definitely know I’ll be looked after again. Many thanks to all concerned in my care x

Had both my cataracts removed at the same time. It was all very efficient and
the staff and surgeon (Mr Ahmed) were all wonderful. I'm very pleased with the telephone consultation and the actual operation. They answered all my concerns and made every effort to put me at ease. Well done all!

Enjoyed this visiting experience as it was quick to hop off the M5 and a short drive through Sowton estate. I would have preferred if my local health authority had the relevant imaging equipment, we have a small hospital in my town which could have easily accommodated this diagnostic device but I had to drive 25 miles to get here today! Which costs me time off work and fuel money.
The outside looks a bit industrial it was purpose built for the pandemic as a back up hospital, but to be fair it’s been re purposed well.
Place is clean and staff are helpful, it’s well staffed and although busy with patients the experience was quick and efficient. Great way of finding your waiting area by marking the floor with coloured lines, you just follow the colour they give to you at reception.
Parking was a slight issue if you don’t get a space off road, as then we would have needed to have parked at one of the retail outlets or the park and ride which is quarter of a mile away.
The outside looked a bit institutional the high metal fence made it look a bit scary but I guess that’s for security, there is a guard on the front at a gatehouse looking very official but think he was mainly directing lost people.
So I was in and out in probably less than 20 minutes including the walk to the car.

Last time i parked in one of many disabled bays within the hospital. Would appreciate the answer to this problem. Kind regards Mr Otto Broad

Good hospital, and it has various different imaging departments. X-ray, ultrasound, and the like. No a&e department here. Parking very bad, little or none available, can un officially use the Dunelm store car park which is about a 5 minute walk
