Just happened in for breakfast one morning and were very pleased. The barista (owner perhaps?) is an espresso genius! The porridge, pastries and eggs were all a delight. So much of a delight, that we returned the next morning, as did some of our tablemates from the day before. We were delighted to catch the barista for a few minutes about his favourite recommended spots in the Lake District later that day.

100% recommend. I visited multiple times during a short break staying in the area. Great vegan options. I was sold on my first visit when I saw four different vegan cakes were available! Breakfast, lunch and snack options are great, and the staff are really lovely. Had a good natter, and even recommended other places to visit. The place is dog friendly too! If/when I'm back in the area, I'll be paying another return visit.

A small cozy cafe, with an interesting menu. Toasted Banana bread and few other interesting items. Food was really good. Would definitely come back when I return. So thoughtful they had booster chair for toddler too.

It’s ok. The menu was a bit limited. Food was decent. Fresh orange juice is not fresh unfortunately. That is a real pet hate when people advertise it as such and then you are confronted with stuff from concentrate. Coffee was average.

One of the best team rooms I know. Superb food and always a good atmosphere.
Additionally and very importantly it is one of just a few places that manages to serve consistently high quality (never bitter) coffee, as with Americano's.

We've been here a few times now, and it has been great every time! There is a wide array of sandwiches, platters and other toasts as well as many different cakes to choose from and drinks. There is also sufficient vegan/vegetarian options and my whole family has been happy every time. The service and wait times were fine and there was no extra hassle for things like adding extra ham in my sandwich and getting more extras. If you're in the area it's a must do!

Tasty coffee. Nice, strong espresso and good cortado.
Friendly staff and nice atmosphere.
The cake selection was good and the chocolate fudge cake and raspberry Victoria slice were delicious. However, I think the £4.20 and £4 price for these was high.

Lovely little cafe, delicious sandwiches. Fries a big let down, they were rather greasy and a tiny portion for £3 sprinkled with dried rosemary, fresh would have been a whole different taste. Thank goodness for the amazing garlic ketchup. Staff were very friendly. Toilet not in use.
