Absolutely shocking. My dad was on reedyford ward for 2 weeks whilst we waited for his ceiling hoist to be fitted. He is now back in Blackburn hospital. He got admitted to Blackburn with viscous bed wounds, severe dehydration which caused his kidneys to fail, gastroenteritis which he caught in there and bronchitis which is making his lungs fail. He was literally left in a ward, shoved in a corner with no access to water or his emergency buzzer. Massive complaint going in about this place. Needs shutting down. Every time he asked staff on reedyford ward for a drink, all he got was “be with you in a min”.
One of the most depressing places ever!!!!

I have just spent a week on the Hartley Ward. All the staff there, nurses, HSAs, cleaners, etc were exemplary! It made my stay there less of a bugbear! The meals served were excellent, and I even put on weight. Thanks to all for being so caring! Joan B X

My mother was on Hartley Ward for almost a month. I have not got 1 complaint about the ward. It was always clean. The staff always went out of their way to look after not only mum but all of the family. Nothing was too much trouble. They actively sought us out to give us updates on her progress. She never felt rushed or a bother. Very impressive nursing care and multidisciplinary team management.
