Terrible. After a hernia op was sent home with not enough painkillers. Was also not briefed about potential pain & side effects from procedure. Then when I had complications at home, the number I called to contact them didn't work, so had to go to another hospital A&E to get antibiotics.

I had never been to Crawley hospital before as I'm usually sent to East Surrey so I was anxious on arrival especially considering how old and tired the building looks.
I couldn't have been more wrong! I honestly cannot fault the service I recieved today, S Constantine and her team in the Womens Centre in the green wing were absolutely brilliant, kind, caring, reassuring, helpful, professional and more. Could not have asked for better care, they really went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable and welcome, much better care than I have ever recieved at any other hospital. Thank you x

Difficult parking. Poor signage inside the Hospital. Easy to get lost, so allow extra time to locate the right department.

The Urgent Care service is good, and can sometimes avoid the need for A&E attendance.

Don't bother if your going to the urgent treatment centre. I took my son in who had blacked out from a head injury at school and had many of the other symptoms. The initial wait was 35 minutes them we were told we needed to wait 2.5 to 3 hours to see a doctor but that they had no facilities to even do a CT scan. The reception team were unhelpful and uncompassionate the women on the desk just spoke to me with attitude. Just to add aswell we were the only people waiting in the children's department

Went for a full blood test and got seen relatively quickly. The hospital does look a bit dated but it is very clean in the area I was in. A little bit difficult to park my large van though.

The was parking when I arrived at 2:30pm

I went to Crawley Hospital A&E children’s unit with my 5-month-old baby today. She was vomiting continuously every 15 minutes. After 2 and a half hours of waiting, she was finally assessed. There is a staff member named DAINE who, I believe, is in the wrong place. She is a total failure as a nurse and as a human because she doesn't know how to manage a mom who is there with her sick baby. DAINE was very rude she seems busy , I wonder why she can't understand what I am going through. Total 5 hours of waiting in a hospital with a baby — what's the point of running an Emergency department here? DISAPPOINTED.!

I was lucky enough to had only 1 person before me when I arrived to the place, so my experience was smooth and quick, the nurse was helpful and understanding of my problem with my arms before she took the blood sample.

I’ve got to say.. it was a terrible experience.

Came in, with pregnancy sickness. Was left to puke in a bucket in the waiting area. How embarrassing.

They took me to a room, left me for 30 mins.. still puking up. Wasn’t offered water ONCE. Considering I’d puked several times, you’d think they would atleast offer you some water and I was there for 6 hours.

A nurse came in to ask me if I’d been given medication, nope. 30 mins later she comes back and administered some meds.

Finally after a few hours, I was offered a line for hydration. However the lady put it in the most awkward spot, when someone’s sick and rolling around… the inside of the arm is the most uncomfortable place to put it. On the outer hand would have been more comfortable. I was rolling around so much that the line fell out and there was blood everywhere. She’d not hooked me up properly. Using only a small plastic plaster to keep it on, hence why it fell out.

After 6 hours and no real help, I decided to leave.

On top of that - when I was crying for help because the nausea was so bad - I asked a lady “please tell me I’m going to be ok” and she was almost laughing at me. What a horrible lady.

Lastly, the dr who treat me.. wasn’t very nice.

What the hell is wrong with this place. It’s a joke.
