Sadly after 40yrs at this surgery the way it now operates now leaves a lot to be desired. I'm afraid the surgery is now run by the reception staff, some of which need to go to charm school in order to learn how to deal with patients. Why is it that some of them are empathetic and courteous, whilst others seem to feel they are there to stop any contact with the doctors and are abrupt in their attitude.

Called recently requesting some help only to have the misfortune of speaking to a receptionist named Kerry. She had zero compassion for my situation and was missing any empathy you would consider essential for her role. Such a shame as most receptionists at the practice are kind and understanding. Puts me off trying again. She actually asked me, 'what do you want me to do?' Very rude!

Please don't ever register with this practice.
Been with them for a couple of years and have never been anything other than highly disappointed and also shocked at just how badly run and managed this place is , incompetence at a level that is negligent and dangerous , i have choosen to leave the practice and register elsewhere please avoid especially if you have a ongoing serious medical condition that needs careful monitoring as this practice hasn't got a clue and even if they did you have as much chance of winning the lottery than actually getting a nurses appointment let alone see a doctor.

Informed at doctors consultation to make asthma appointment. Informed by reception, non available for 3 months, phone them then. 3 months, still no appointments. Received text requesting my yearly asthma check up. Still unable to get appointment. Cliffe woods and Wainscott are the same contact numbers?

Absolute discrace if i could give a zero star rating i would. Continously call at 8am when the phone lines open to be told no appointments across the 4 surgeries? Pressed 9 to retain my place in the queue with a call back promised and absolutely nothing. My 5 year old very unwell and instead ive had to sit up the hospital for 8hrs which wouldnt of happened if they had actually called back as promised. Clearly they need to sort their phone lines out or better still shut the place down . Will be making a further complaint . Discusted is an understatement !!

Ive had nothing but trouble with this practise. Ive suffered and suffering with a relatively severe scalp condition leaving my head in agony as my uniform would rub the affected areas sore.
Im 16 and my brother phoned up to find out when my appointment is, and regardless everyone has refused to speak to him but they wouldn't tell him about the patient abservey form which allows them to speak on your behalf. Regardless of the amount of times ive phoned up ive had the same answer which is they refuse to see me due to my age, or get refered for a phone call at a time when im in education and then still not guaranteed any medical attention or to be seen by a proffessional. I started phoning about this at the end of January and its not the end of february and nothings happened and no attempt has been made. Pure incompetant and lazy lot to ignore such an issue. A&E is the better option so thats where i see myself going!!!

As a family we have used this practice for 29 years there has been few ups and downs over the years. But in general upto covid we’re brilliant.

Doctor Wheeler (retired) and Doctor Nurcombe-Thorne. Have been absolutely fantastic. But since covid and Doctor Bell become head of practice and E consult
They have gone down hill so fast never get appointments told make e consultation then 3 days to reply I had a hospital follow up call took them 3 months to reply
Lost prescriptions
Lost letters from consultants
Doctor Bell has twice said he will call me back never bothered
We have finally given up the service is that bad
Doctor Bell clearly hasn’t got a clue
Never run like this under Doctor Green
So we have left the practice

Many thanks to Doctor Nurcombe-Thorne a young doctor with true old fashioned values thank you over the years we are not allowed to book appointments with you now so left
