This surgery is amazing. I have never had a bad experience here. I called today about 15.50 on the off chance that there may be a cancellation. Explained my symptoms to the very kind receptionist and was given an appointment for 16.30.
I was seen by the dr, who again was so helpful and understanding. He took his time with me and I left with prescriptions, counselling referral and an ecg booked. The treatment I had was outstanding. Thank you so much.

Does everyone realise that the inception of the NHS (which GPs didn't want) they have held every subsequent government to ransom and dictated their terms. They are only contracted to the NHS and I have been informed by NHS England that they can practice in a way that suits them best. Unlike hospital staff they can pick and choose and government's can't do anything about it. So basically don't expect the minimum of NHS care from your GP. Practice delights in telling patients they have 60 appointments a day. Assuming each one takes 10 minutes by phone (since COVID they don't see patients) that's 6 appointments per hour, so it would take 2 partners 5 hours to complete this goal........what about the other partners? Hospital staff work flat out and GPs are taking advantage at the taxpayers expense. GPs need a complete overhaul and NOW

I was discharged from hospital on 4th March. I’d had a lung operation and cancer was confirmed. I also had plural, effusion and my lug collapsed. I called Tuesday to make arrangements for my stitches to be removed but they don’t do that anymore. Not a problem I’ll got to urgent care. What really upset me was I asked for the nurse to call me because I wanted some advice about nebulisers. The receptionist said, no, you can’t, I explained it would be a three minute call and all got was a very abrupt, she got no slots.she was so dismissive and it left me very upset. Someone please tell where you go for advice after an operation.

I cannot believe in this day in age you are unable to book an appointment in advance. I tried repeatedly to get an appointment but was told I had to ring back, take a day off work to simply call the doctors. No online options. And when asked why, was simply told this was how all doctors surgeries run. Simply not true, outdated and offered me no autonomy whatsoever. Will be looking elsewhere for a surgery

A huge mix of experiences. One doctor I spoke to over the phone was very understanding and requested I go into the surgery that afternoon for a face-to-face appointment.

The doctor I saw at that appointment proceeded to tell me that she wouldn't prescribe the class of medication I'm on (and have been on for years). She ignored what I told her and referred me to another service - who have already mentioned to me that it is the GP surgery that should be controlling my medication at this point.

If you can go elsewhere, do.
