Absolutely atrocious. Had nothing but problems with this surgery. Called in today for my 14.10 appointment with the physiotherapist only to be told I had no appointment because the receptionist had not put it on the system. So not only can you not see a doctor without a prior telephone appointment, I now can't even see someone when I do have an appointment.

Since joining with St Stephens and post covid, this gp has never been so poor. Been trying to organise a prescription for my son for approx 4 weeks now only to be told its going to be sorted yet at the next pharmacy visit it isn't. You call them up at exactly opening time and you're number 30+ in a queue only to wait on hold for 30 mins to find out there's no appointments left. Whats the point of even having a gp if even the basics are a struggle.

We have always seen Dr Ash for my daughter who has asthma and suffers badly when she has a cold sometimes to the extent of hospitalisation. Now every time I call I’m sent to St Stephens who are a shambles at best, on Monday evening at 5:45 I was told to come in but had to get there before 6 as the doors would be locked. Quite unhelpful when not only is the surgery no where near my house it also has no parking, unless I want to park at the bottom of a steep hill with a 5 year who is having breathing issues. Got there, had to wait half hour to be seen, doctor has in a rush to get, was prescribed 3 lots of medication, 2 of which arnt available in the country atm. So that was an all night call to 111 to try and prevent hospital admission. I’m calling again now due to another issue with the medication and I’ve been on hold for 25 minutes as the first caller in the queue. I’m presuming everyone’s still on lunch break so I don’t know why you reopened your lines when no one was actually going to answer

My daughter had an emergency last night with DR Cox.
We was very worried about her temp as we couldn’t bring it down. Dr Cox was amazing with her checking her over and for the advice on how to proceed with her through the night.

Even had a message to check how she went through the night.

Couldn’t recommend Dr Cox enough. Thank you.

The patient access has been down for a few weeks and no sign of it coming back online. This is the app we have all been told to use and the one that has our covid vaccinated details on..
Why at this time do they disconnect us and for so long!!
All I am told is a letter is coming?
An email is quicker!!
You want us to use the technology but then you withdraw it and fail to use the quickest methods to update us..

After having a baby and feeling quite emotional anyway, I went for my 6 week check up, a stitch had come out, after expressing how upset it made me feel, I was told to get over it your body changes after having a baby. Where I quite understand that my body has changed significantly, a stitch that had fallen out could have been resolved (help a girl out) now this is an embarrassing thing I have to live with for the rest of my life. Secondly, I haven’t breastfed since my daughter was 3 days old, she is now 10 months old and I still have milk!! It is extremely painful and I have tried all the home remedies. I visited to be told it’s period related (don’t insult me I’ve been having periods for 15 years I know the pain) I was told to monitor it and if it’s worse come back in a month... so I did however I had to go through 111 because my pain wasn’t taken seriously. The 111 lady seemed extremely concerned and advised me she would help me be seen ASAP. I went to the surgery and they explained the doctor would call me. They called me very quickly, I discussed my symptoms and she was concerned I had a blocked duct and could have an infection. My appointment was booked for 11:20 I didn’t get seen till 12:45 with a 10 month old the wait is not ideal by the by, I went in. After examination the doctor advised me she could feel a lump but told me to monitor it for a further 4. After explaining how much pain I was in she disregarded me quickly and wasn’t keen on answering the questions I had concerns to. I left balling my eyes out as she just left the room after saying what she needed to say. I still have milk, how does it go away? How do I stop the pain? Is it infected? What is the lump? Are you seriously not going to help me? This was the same doctor as it was on my 6 week check up and she’s left me feeling like having a baby is a punishment
We’re moving doctors I literally can’t bare facing them again, they make you feel like your stupid for having concerns. If you don’t have a passion for helping people then you shouldn’t do that line of work. Your job isn’t just to hand out medication, it’s reassure people that they are in safe hands. A little care goes a long way. Now I have to waste more NHS time because I need to know what this lump is now, not in 4 months!

I'm not a patient of this practice but called in as my own doctors were unable to see me even as an emergency appointment. I was greeted by a very friendly and helpful receptionist. All members of staff were extremely helpful and a doctor saw me immediately and prescribed medication and was very informative Couldn't fault the surgery at all. Many thanks to you all for the support and help. Would recommend this surgery.
