I am a fairly new patient to the practice and I have to say, I am very impressed by the service I have received.
I understand GP services seem to be not as easily accessible these days as they once were, but I haven’t had a problem booking an appointment, I find the Reception team are efficient and empathetic.
I’d like to give a huge thanks to Amanda, Nurse Practitioner who is so supportive and kind!

Very poor service. Unable to see an elderly, due to no staff available to register the elderly lady as temporary patient. I would NOT recommend this practice for doctors' service. The nurses are good, however, it is a struggle to see a doctor. Have been put in with a paramedic instead of a doctor on more than one occasion.

I put in a prescription for life threatening medications and resorted to going in handing over a list of what I needed and was told it wouldn't be ready for another five days. So I contacted my diabetic team at Dodington hospital who had to send the visiting nurse with my needs. I checked my details on line and they are all wrong, have waited four weeks for a medication review. I really don't need all this stress

Awful service, without a doubt every time. You have to fight the receptionists to get to see a doctor (and most of the time they don’t even pair you with a doctor), then you have to convince the doctor that you’re actual ill. Despite having very clear physical symptoms. I currently have a throat infection that needs antibiotics, and they didn’t bother at any point this afternoon to put through my prescription. This is despite the fact I initially asked them to triage me yesterday and they didn’t bother to call/record my number correctly. So my infection is getting worse and worse, when I already struggle to drink and can’t eat solid foods, just because they can’t be bothered to do their jobs.

I wish this was a one off occurrence, but it happens every single time I get in touch. I’ve had recommendations from other doctors, that have been shut down by the receptionist because the other doctor told me to get a referral from my GP, when the receptionists insist it had to be from this doctor I had no way of contacting. So I’ve had to go without referrals simply because they wouldn’t assist me.

I’d highly recommend joining literally any other practice in the area, because Mercheford house is a complete mess, and it only gets worse

Do not see doctors very often. Have taken my grandson on two occasions, and on both found the service received very good. Their system of issuing prescriptions whether electronically or face to face is excellent, prompt and works. I also like their waiting room, less institutionalised than many others.
More hyggelig to use my native language.

Usually very helpful but rang up today as have blocked ear. Have been putting drops in the ear. Cannot see a nurse for a week and then it would be to assess the ear with no treatment! I remember when I could get in within a day or two get the ear shringe with one visit and foget about it! Very poor service now

I take that back. The Surgery rang me and I can see a Nurse today. Great service!!
