The appointments system makes it far too difficult to see your GP. I was putting off making an appointment because I was nervous, then I finally made myself fill in their online form to request an appointment, and they texted me back later saying that I would need to phone at 2pm to get an appointment. So I phoned at 2pm, waited on hold for half an hour, only to be told that all the appointments for the day were fully booked and I needed to phone again tomorrow. It's just a terrible system for patient experience and must deter patients from even seeking an appointment for things that are important to get checked.

Edit in reply to response- I requested an appointment both online and by telephone and both only resulted in being told I needed to call back. At no point did I specify that it needed to be that day- I would have been happy if it was next week. I used to be at Lensfield Medical Practice, where I only had to fill in an online form and they would call me to offer at least a telephone appointment- please do this, or allow patients to book an appointment via the app.

Extremely bad service from the secretaries at this practice and doctors mostly play negligence or are disrespectful and don’t want to hear you out. Play negligence towards me for too many years and when I try to say that my symptoms are getting worse and talk they don’t listen talk over you then cut your phone call short. Never known such bad manners throughout other practices. I have glass in my body travels around pains the hell out of my hands and turns my body numb. I was refused a CT scan. And they try to send you to a mental health provider where they whack lithium into my ankle causing a puffy swelling that has turned septic and caused all kinds of problems and pains . I have to see a specialist to remove glass that I also have buried in my area between the top lip and nose area and dr baboo or whatever her name is advised it’s just a scratch apply cream… and Vaseline which has trapped and swollen and embedded it in further and now much worse. I was stabbed to the top of my head and glass is spreading around my body it is so painful. The police and doctors seem to all be acting like natzis now and you call up spot on 8:30am and wait up to an hour for answer and still get told all appointments are fully booked. Drs don’t hear any more than one problem and give you bad advice without referrals to a specialist. Bad service throughout.

Have been with this surgery for 40+ years and have always found the doctors, nurses and supporting staff most understanding and helpful.

If you can get to see a doctor or nurse then myself and my family have always found them extremely professional. However trying to get an appointment is an awful experience. My wife has been waiting 3 months for an appointment which would take 5mins to remove a birth control implant. I've had similar experiences. I've not had this experience at other surgeries. It's almost as if they are operating the way they did during the pandemic, but 3 tears later.

Absolute pathetic service. You wait, wait, and wait and you never get an appointment! Also you don’t get the right information! For example, when I was moving out of Cambridge, I asked for a change in my address to which they mentioned that I have to register to the new GP surgery and my records will be transferred whereas for my wife, who went to the surgery before me for the same thing, the process was done, no questions asked!
Can’t recommend this surgery but then there is no better option either, in the area! Really sad to see the NHS crumbling!

I am writing this review because I am always very happy with the experience I have with their team.

Every person who picked up my phone call was always and at any time very nice and helpful. Phone is always picked up very quickly and I always get the appointment in no time.

I have also my blood test on every two weeks and as most of other people I am not a fan of it but I can say in this practice I had the best experience of them all. The nurses always take care that is done very professionally so the experience is not unpleasant at all. I always walk away very impressed.

All the staff is very friendly, caring and always with beautiful smiles on their faces and I always feel very welcome there. They always ensure that I am property informed about my health and care. Also they make sure for their and patient safety during the COVID-19 pandemic. Their work truly is extraordinary.

I would also like to say that the doctors there are incredible. They are very understanding and they listens to your concerns. The really take time with the patient to help them with their health issues.

I would like to say that I really appreciate all the work this practice is doing and there is no words to express how much this means to me and to many other patients that their team is taking care for them every day. I definitely recommend this Helath centre!
