They well and truly let me down at my worst, been at the jade centre for as long as I can remember struggling with my mood swings suffering with bipolar and never really relied on there services as have great support from my family and friends thankfully but the last year I reached out for help as my lows was tremendous and was frightened of my own mind to be told that they have revered me back to my doctors because I’ve used all their resources taking in mind I was very suicidal the receptionist was rude and practically pushed me over the edge thankgod my husband was listening and took the rest of the call we’re he asked if he could take her name in which she replied with that’s confidential he then asked if the call was recorded and she said no which is very strange for mental health services I felt extremely low before the call but after speaking to the jade centre I felt I’d lost all the support and it nearly took me over the edge and made me worse I even wrote a suicidal note to the jade centre explaining they was the reason because at the time I strongly believed without them I was not going to get through it thankfully I got intouch with the crisis team who have visited most days in the last 3 week and placed me in the appropriate care were I’m getting the support that I need. The jade centre sent me a letter explaining the reasons I’d been referred back to my doctors which indicated that I’d also missed a appointment in which I was at my 3 year old nieces funeral yes like I said this was a time I really needed support as this had triggered a extreme low and also rang the jade centre to explain about the funeral but this wasn’t mentioned on the letter the upset with the jade centre had a big impact on my mental health what worries me is some people in my situation might not have the support that I do and this could of made them feel scared knowing they wasn’t any help could of been worsening consequences for them.

This service also abandoned me in my worst crisis stating i was being "needy and needed to practice using my skills independently" I've since had 3 suicide attempts and I'm now at st caths. I've requested a new lead professional as I have to stay under the team when I leave to which I got a mardey receptionist.
I'm not sure what's gone off at jade centre recently. When we were first referred we had high hopes but Now I'm in the worst place mentally I've ever been in and with no understanding of my conditions

Tomorrow is a big day ... Needless to say I doubt there will be much rest ... God grant me the clarity of thought and ability to find the words to articulate what desperately needs saying
what needs saying in an informed way to so called mental health professionals and managers might finally listen and reflect so that they might finally do the jobs they are paid to do better.
If no one speaks up ..nothing changes .
If nothing else it has to mean something that women like me speak up against a system failing many like me .?
Update: Today unfortunately was much as expected ...brick wall completely 'lip service and leaflets' ‍♀️
Speak up people ...please speak up.
Ollee Newbound we have had very similar experiences with the Same Worker unfortunately ...
I hope you continue to get the professional help and support you and every other person like us deserve elsewhere .
I hope people who have had similar utterly devasting experiences with these so called mental health care workers/professionals or are currently experiencing similar lack of basic care and compassion at the Jade Centre will speak up sadly clearly we are not alone in our experiences here.
