The expertise, care from every member of staff at Church View Medical Centre is a breath of fresh air. The Receptionists are helpful, and considerate. Dr Cooper showing professionalism with care and understanding, ensuring I felt I was not a number. The Pharmacy is exceedingly helpful. All members of staff look exceedingly smart in their uniforms showing professionalism. Anyone falling into their catchment area will be more than delighted with the excellent service given by everyone, who obviously work as a very coherent team.

I have been impressed with the quick and effective way repeat prescriptions are dealt with. The reception staff are friendly and helpful. The facilities are good and it is extremely helpful for me to be able to pick up prescriptions at the surgery due to living in a rural and isolated area. Appointments can be booked online or via phone which is also a handy feature.

With this in mind, it is a real shame that I had a similar experience speaking with a doctor as another reviewer; the GP couldn't seem less interested and helpful and did not recommend anything that was listed on the NHS website for my particular issue. This has put me off booking another appointment.

Brilliant local surgery and excellent service. Reception staff are always lovely to and will bend over backwards to get you an appointment. Both GPs are thorough and straightforward to deal with and very helpful. Very pleased I signed up with them.

Had previously been at Salcombe and Chillington in South Devon and there is a remarkable improvement in the level of care and service provided at Churchview. Dr Trenchard is a breath of fresh air, listens carefully, isn't at all dismissive and works with you. Fantastic

I have never met such a disinterested and unhelpful GP as Dr Cooper, with no social skills whatsoever. Apparently this surgery does not even provide advice or fasting cholesterol checks for people with a family history of high cholesterol (she did not even mention family history), despite it being listed on the NHS website as something you would expect from your GP. According to Dr Cooper you could go to Asda for this - what was particularly annoying is that I had already had a cholesterol check at work and was told to speak to the GP about it!

I am hardly a resource waster, I have not taken up the time for a doctor's appointment for a number of years, but the cost of a blood test, that I even offered to pay for, or even some advice, is still too much. It is a real shame that a GP would rather wait until people are ill before they offer help and advice. This is extremely poor health promotion and illness prevention, which should be a priority for those in primary care, to decrease the pressures on the NHS.
The one star is because Dr Cooper did at least carry out the telephone appointment.
If you are looking for a new surgery, I would make the effort and go to Ilminster instead.
