Friendly and caring staff, was seen within 20mins of booking in, and had left the building with, with seven stitches in my arm, in just over one hour. Great little hospital for minor injuries and serves Chard well.

Disappointing to leave work early, drive an hour home, and arrive at 4:30pm to a sign saying “MIU closed today” with no indication of an unscheduled closure online when searching, just the regular scheduled hours saying open 8:00am - 9:00pm.

Surely we are at a stage where this could be communicated online so people can make other plans. I would have stayed in the city I work and visited their unit rather than wasting my time driving back and missing work.

Small hospital but a vital service for this small town and rural area. Small part-time accident and emergency. District nurse facility and excellent local Physio centre. Very lucky to have this facility when you consider the draconian cuts to our public services by this toxic conservative government. A good service.

Why is it when work men put up a portaloo or dump materials etc. It Is always the disabled bays that are used. This is a disgrace and needs to be stopped as it is the most vulnerable and least able who suffer because of ignorance and stupidity of others. Especially when they have parked up a mobile advisory vehicle for such groups to access support. But aren't able to park in the bays that they should be able to use. If the service is not well used it will disappear and have a secondary impact because of arrogant builders. To put it in context there's plenty of none disabled parking they could have used.

Fantastic hospital with lovely staff who could not do more to help you. We were in and out within an hour with a prescription for tonsillitis! A wonderful service.

Excellent reception as a walk in, following challenge of stomach and sight . The facility is well managed, staffed ( by caring attendants) and clean.

Visited out of hours tonight, potentially for a chest infection which was later confirmed. I was called by either what was a nurse or doctor on duty. Her mannerism was so rude when she called me. She asked me why I decided to turn up at this time of the evening (8pm) when she had done a long shift that day. Left quite speechless and shocked that she even said this! After all, I didn’t intend to visit out of hours to be told off by a healthcare professional when seeking medical help. She quickly changed her tune when she realised she had upset me after I replied ‘I’ll just go home then?!’
