Mr Kordas promised that he would get me back on my bike within a few months of a total hip replacement operation, so i was really pleased to feel strong enough to get back on my bike after only 5 weeks post operation and even cycle up a Col in the French Alps.
I have to say that I am really impressed by the the whole set up at the Cherwell Hospital. As an architect I appreciate precision, and I am in awe of what a surgeon can achieve in terms of getting equal leg lengths absolutely right, under theatre conditions, after my body had been asymmetrical for so many years! I wish i had had the operation years ago.

Please extend my thanks to the entire team at the Cherwell Hospital from nurses to Anaesthetists to Physiotherapists who were all caring and extremely professional throughout the process. You people are truly amazing.

Moreover thank you for giving me a pain free life back.

Went there with an appointment and I had to wait 1 hours to be seen.
Finally managed to see the doctor and he went through the report from the NHS. After 5 minutes I’ve been dismissed.
I mean. Lost of time and money.

I have to give a feedback for the excellent treatment I received in your Ophthalmology department on the 15th.Feb.2024.
From the nurses who put me at ease from the first moment ,like a 'friend' , to the expert team who performed the op. I have nothing but praise for my experience at The Cherwell.
Thank you.

The joys of getting older means that I've been here a few times over the last two years, but each time I've been I've been impressed with the people, service and whole experience.

Parking is never an issue as there are several hospital car parks to choose from. Inside is clean, modern and definitely a step above a NHS hospital.

Private patients are looked after by the lovely Karen, who is always welcoming, does all she can to help patients feel at ease both in person in the private patient waiting room, on the ward, or over the phone.

All the staff from Karen, reception, nurses, x-ray and MRI staff and the two consultants I've been treated by, My Kordas and Mr Shafighian, have all been friendly and brilliant!

If you have a choice about which hospital you go to I'd definitely recommend the Cherwell.

An incredible experience from arrival to departure. 5 star all the way. Booked in for day procedure and was personally taken to my beautiful private room. The nursing staff were attentive and on hand all the time and the anaethitist and surgeon were superb. Treated like a celebrity. I could not recommend this
Hospital and all who work there more. Thank you.

I was originally booked for 29th April 2020 for a Subacromial Decompression on my shoulder as an NHS patient. This was postponed due to Covid-19 lockdown.
I was rebooked for 6/7/2020, the first week of elective surgery starting up again after Covid-19 lockdown.

Communication from the hospital was regular and thorough, so I knew what was happening, I didn’t have to chase them at all. A new pre-op assessment was carried out, I was told to self-isolate for 2 weeks prior to the op and a Covid test was done a few days before, all with no difficulty and by abiding by the safety measures. I knew the hospital’s cleaning standards are second to none from my op on the other shoulder 2 years before. I was reassured that every extra precaution had been taken and told that all the staff are Covid-tested regularly. I was not allowed any visitors or anyone to accompany me on the day of surgery, but I was made to feel completely at ease and was very well looked after.

Mr Ali Shafighian is excellent at what he does. He operated 2 years ago on my other shoulder and did such an amazing job and my experience at the Horton Treatment Centre was perfect that I wanted him to do the other one for me.

Kirsten Davies has been brilliant with my follow-up physio especially as it has all had to be by phone and video call. I feel as well looked after as if I had physical physio appointments.

Thank you to every member of staff on my hospital journey here from my first consultation to the op to the after-care! Their friendly, caring ways and standard of patient care is first-class!
