My partner and I attended this care home to play some music and entertainment for a staff party a few weeks ago. We found the home very clean and saw several staff members continuing to clean communal areas during the party. Staff appeared friendly with us each other and more importantly residents. Some residents came to join in for a dance and a chat it was lovely to see them having fun with the staff. We was offered food and soft drinks and made to feel very welcome. Thank you Chadwell house for having us, hope to see you in the summer for future events. Merry Christmas to staff and residents.

Very good care home my uncle is there his happy and is well l cared ,we are very happy his there , the staff ate so good helpful always so nice all of them they care so much ch of all the patients. I would recommend this care home and thank you to all the staff . God bless you all always in life

Bad poor rude practice african black female carers dont care. Saw pulling patients instead of assisting that nearly had a fall. They let dementia walking outside without slippers or shoes. Rude approach to patients and they're always on the their mobile phone, force feeding at meal time were patients dont want to open his mouth. This place should close down. Its a very noisy environment staff were talking loud or shouting, Tried email the manager but i think the manager doesnt care. He only cares about his sports running, promotion and achievement in life but he cant descipline his own staff. I feel sorry for your love ones to be admitted to this place. Lack of knowledege and poor practice of staff.. no wonder they are rated by cqc as good only. I hope CQC will do they're job properly. Theres a lot of abuse going on this place.

My husband has been entertaining the residents at Chadwell House for some months now and I usually go with him and have to say how impressed I am by Nicholas and all the staff. They seem to really care about the residents and so much effort is made to ensure that there is plenty going on to keep everyone entertained and included. So lovely to see.

I had the pleasure of visiting Chadwell House recently. They held a Jubilee party for their residents and it was fabulous! The staff put so much energy into making sure that everyone had a great time, they were very attentive and very passionate about their work. Nicolas was particularly energetic and made sure everyone was having a good time. I highly recommend Chadwell House to anyone looking for an excellent care home.

My father-in-law has mixed dementia and is partially sighted. The Manager decided to Place my father-in-law in incontinent pants as they were short staffed and did not take him to the toilet in time. He ended up in hospital with a serious UTI and skin sores from being left in soiled pants.
They pride themselves on being a dementia specialist care home but the Manager, Nicolas Kee Mew, evicted my father-in-law on the day he was admitted to hospital (without any prior notice) because he said that he could not cater for my father-in-laws needs, which were dementia. He spent 6 weeks in hospital because he did not have a care home to return to, which resulted in him losing the ability to walk.
The home where he was placed is worlds apart from Chadwell House. They have a full activity calendar, they take them out to the shopping centre, cafes, pubs and parks on a regular basis. If only we had prior knowledge of the care system and homes before agreeing for him being placed in Chadwell House.
The last CQC review was in 2018, so it is well overdue and should not be rated so highly.
Anyone considering Chadwell House for their loved one, should seriously consider other options and homes before placing them there.

Care home has gone totally downhill since manager left. No atmosphere there, residents look miserable and bored.
Is now like deaths waiting room. Very sad cause the place was vibrant when Nicolas was there.

Visited my brother today. It was a garden visit as it was such a lovely day. A member of staff brought us a hot drink and biscuits. Considering how ill my brother had been recently, and having then gone through two lockdowns, it was good to see him looking so much better again. It will be a memory to cherish.
