Michelle supported me with the birth of my first child, she was absolutely fantastic! She was calm and supportive during my pregnancy and birth, sharing her vast experience and expertise. She worked fantastically with the NHS midwifery team and ultimately helped to give me the perfect birth on the day. I could not recommend Michelle more highly and would not hesitate to work with her again.

I met Michelle at my local breastfeeding group when I was post partum, I WISH I’d known of her during my pregnancy and birth, I honestly believe if I’d of had an advocate I wouldn’t have had the medical interventions I did when I had my son, Michelle is the loveliest, most supportive woman who somehow managed to help me feel like I hadn’t failed by having medical interventions. I also wouldn’t have been able to feed my son for as long as I did without her advice or support. I’ve since moved away from the area but if I were ever to have another child I would pay whatever it took to have Michelle throughout the pregnancy and birth period.

Myself and my husband hired Michelle to be our doula through the birth of our first child and opted for her ante and post natal support as well as during labour. Michelle was friendly, positive and bubbly from the beginning and really made us feel reassured. We loved the hypnobirthing sessions with her and she sent us an additional track specific to our needs following a midwife appointment (relaxation for breach baby). She was always on hand to discuss the consultant appointments and be a sounding board for some of the difficulties we had with these.

During labour, Michelle was amazing. She was hands on with counter pressure, explaining things to my husband, providing positive encouragement, and also advocating for us. My husband has some mobility needs and she explained these to the midwives and enabled him to still be a full support for me during birth and have a positive experience himself. She even spent a large part of the next day with me so my husband could go home and get some rest. I ended up with an emergency c section and she helped me with breastfeeding and managing the first poo explosion! Her help and support at that time was so critical and we were incredibly appreciative of everything she did for us.

We’re now looking forward to her post natal support and would absolutely have Michelle as our doula again should we have more children in the future. Thank you so much Michelle!
