I called up for a repeat prescription and was told that it would take 48 hours for it to go through to the chemist to be ready to pick up. I asked if I needed to go in to request it myself. The receptionist said that she would send it over. Gone in today for the prescription. It turns out it hasn't been requested, and I'm now a day over due. I've had to cancel my appointment until they have done my prescription. Absolutely ridiculous ?

Absolute jokers, been trying to get an appointment by calling up every morning for 2 weeks and they expect you to just keep calling everyday when there isn’t any, position 22 at 8am what chance do you have then by the time you get to the front it’s 9am sorry they are all gone.

When you have serious health issues and start to get bad pains in your groin area and having further blackouts and are worried they seem to think it’s acceptable to tell you to keep calling everyday at 8am, asked to pass a message on and didn’t seem that bothered to be fair and laughing whilst on the phone doesn’t make you sound professional either.

I do not recommend!
Every time I call for the children, they tell me that they don't have valid appointments, to call the next day. I call the next day and they tell me the same thing. I think that the reception is to blame, they decide who to receive at the appointment. Sometimes they don't let you finish saying what your problem is, because they say: The doctor is full of appointments today..
Why do I have a GP if I don't get appointments for children?!

I am deaf and have problems when I have any appointments and get stressed especially Medical I visited the CADS Centre yesterday and the treatment support and care I received is the best I’ve ever experienced from Ollie The little adjustments he made which put me so much at ease Facing me speaking so clearly but the biggest thing was as he was talking and typing he moved the screen facing me so I could see it His patience and deaf awareness made my appointment so much less stressful thank you Ollie

I have registered with this practice for 5 - 6 years now. For the last 3 weeks I have been coughing until the point that my rib cage muscles are killing me. As if I have been punched in the ribs by a pro boxer. It hurts when I lie down and breathe deeply, even worse when I cough. I have started to cough blood now. I phoned Thursday morning at 8:30am all appointments now gone. Ok so I asked what time to call, they said 8am. Ok so I called at 8am on the dot the following morning on Friday, the phone was engaged and continued to redial several times, on the 5th attempt I got though to the phone queue, I listened the music for 16 minutes from 8th in the queue to someone I could talk to, only to be told that there’s no more appointments. I asked how many appointments was available or released for today at 8am, she told me there was only 3 appointments available for Friday. For the whole of Edlington there was only three appointments, I can definitely confirm that there is more than 3 people that live in Edlington… Today, Monday 6th March 2024 I phoned again at 8am, after coughing my lungs ? out overnight for about ten times and sever pains in my ribs after coughing plus I am coughing non stop until I am ready to faint or dizzy
After re-dialling ten times and waited in the phone from 6th in line to someone talking to 38 minutes. And the same answer. NO MORE APPOINTMENTS, I asked how many appointments released today? 3 appointments available this morning. What a joke? Looks like we only have 1 General Practitioners in Edlington Practice and works on a daily basis, assuming each appointment is 15 minutes long, so basic maths 3 x 15 minutes = 45 minutes per day.
Good days work 45 minutes a day and on a 6 figure salary
So I told the receptionist “basically we just curl up and die” or cough until we have suicidal thoughts. NHS disgraceful

I am honestly baffled by the negative reviews of this place. I have been with 5 different GP practices across West Yorkshire and Doncaster in the last 4 years and this place stands out MASSIVELY as the best one.

The reception staff are non-judgemental and genuinely helpful, even when you have non-traditional issues. I am agoraphobic and they found a way to let me register without attending the practice. They contact me proactively about any issues and are prompt in response when I contact via email or via the online contact form (accrux) on their website. Genuinely rare to find reception staff this lovely. The doctors know what they're doing and honestly listen, care and take action. Big shoutout to Dr Haroon on this one. Other staff, such as ACPs and nurses are also just as lovely and knowledgable and caring.

Aside from the regular NHS issues of understaffing and under funding, this place is an oasis. The wait times are completely fine and the check-in screen warns of these when you use it. The check-in screen is always clean too. Getting an appointment is not the absolute hell I have experienced at other practices, and I have had no issue with it. The system of urgent/non-urgent appointments works perfectly if you're calling on a morning. I know some people have issues with this but you don't have to divulge your whole symptom list and history, you can simply summerise the issue. You can also sometimes book appointments through the NHS app or by their contact form. I have also been actively contacted regarding my health which is so so rare and so so appreciated.

When I had an issue my GP couldn't answer, he passed me onto the practice manager who was able to resolve it, and answered my questions regarding it with a friendly tone. In fact, all and any questions I've had have been answered in a friendly and helpful way. Referrals are processed swiftly and according to guidelines. I had a blood test and the results came back in 24 hours. All of this not even to mention the building is amazing, there's a library nearby and so is ASDA. The waiting room seats are comfy, one time there was magazines.

I have honestly zero complaints and the reviews saying elsewise are weird. I use a mixture of calling the practice and using the online consulting form on the website and get the same level of care either way. I honestly couldn't recommend this practice enough.

Rude and unwilling to help, trying to order my repeat medication, can't do this over the phone and had to send email(the emails are never picked up you always have to call again), or I can do this by 'form' just write your name on paper and put it in the box..... When I asked about this I was spoken to like a child and was told I'm not listening. If you don't want to be a receptionist don't go to work it's that simple instead of making peoples life hard when all they want to do if get medication.
And to the receptionist who took my call today I really don't think customer service is for you!

I know there has been a lot of negative feedback on the practice but have to say I have had to deal with both reception and doctor over the last week and cannot fault them. They have been helpful, polite and listened to what I had to say. Very impressed and thank you
