I received outstanding support today from the staff at Chaucer Hospital, from reception though to the nurses, catering, and frankly the whole team that attended to me. Nikki (I hope I have spelled this correctly) was particularly lovely and very supportive, also Joanne. The surgeon Mr Sebastian was very professional and supportive. At all points was kept informed about what would happen next and was treated kindly by all. I will always recommend Chaucer after this positive experience and am grateful and humbled by the professionalism and kindness shown today by your wonderful staff - please praise them and value them!

The surgeon, anaesthetist and nurse all introduced themselves soon after being shown to my room. Each person explained their role and responsibility and the process and plan for the day. At all times I felt safe and well looked after. The nurse, was kind, caring and compassionate always being extremely professional. My stay at the Chaucer Hospital although brief exceeded my expectation.

Danielle and the hospital staff took great care of myself during my time at the Chaucer. My surgeon and anaesthetist were very thorough in explaining the procedure which made me feel at ease. All of the staff were brilliant and very reassuring making sure I had everything I needed.

I had a total hip replacement and all staff were extremely attentive and kind. I stayed in for 3 nights as I had very high BP - the surgeon Mr Kahn even called in to see me on Sunday (in his off duty Sunday clothes). The after care I received has also been excellent and I cannot fault the attention I was given from every member of staff - nothing was too much trouble. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this hospital.

I had a full hip replacement (left side), on the 21st of September. My Consultant, Mr James Smith was outstanding - speaking to him at my initial appointment in March, was a breath of fresh air. He understood my frustration, and why I was struggling with simple everyday tasks (like putting socks on). The surgical team are extremely good too, the catering, nursing staff, reception team and porter are extremely competent and an asset to the hospital. I would whole heartedly recommend anyone to have their procedure at the Chaucer Hospital, should they be fortunate enough to get the chance.

I recently had a day procedure at the hospital and would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to the entire healthcare team that cared for me. Dr. Wilson, in particular, was incredibly kind, taking the time to clearly explain every aspect of my treatment. The theatre nurse, sensing my nervousness as it was my first surgery, held my hand—a gesture that truly melted my heart. Amelia, Poppy, Sam, the anesthetist (who inserted the cannula with such skill that I barely felt it), the cafeteria staff, the pharmacist—everyone I encountered was both kind and helpful. The quality of care I received was truly exceptional, and I am deeply grateful for it. Thank you Chaucer Hospital for the high level of care and compassion during my treatment.

During the whole pre-operative assessment, the procedure itself and post-op care, I have been very impressed by the exceptional care and efficiency of the whole range of professionals with whom I came into contact. To have a phone number that I could call in case of needing advice or reassurance, that was really helpful. Also, on day 4, the hospital called me to check on my progress - all very, very helpful.
