Big free car park which is rare for the NHS these days. Easy to park early but gets a bit full after 9:30am.

You need to book for bloods. Just google “st Helen’s bloods booking” and you will find the site. Super easy to do, just book way in advance if you can so you get the appointment you need.

Staff are lovely and the hospital is relatively modern.

I was an inpatient for several weeks for rehab following a leg amputation. The care I received was brilliant. OT support was amazing. Every member of staff from catering staff to the doctors treated me with dignity and respect. The ward really is a caring place with the human touch. Thank you to all the staff and I will pop back once I'm up and walking on a prosthetic xx

This hospital is great. Take my 94 year old Dad here every 3 months to have his ears syringed. Very clean, tidy and well-organised. Staff are lovely and very attentive and the appointments run to time. Cannot fault in any way. Wonderful place.

Doesn't even deserve the 1 star. Travelled over half an hour to get here for 9 when the place isn't even got any staff around to help. Sat and waited for my appointment just to be told that the department was closed today because of staff being sick and they have only just found out & to be told we could've just went to Whiston Hospital (which is 5 minutes for me) for a walk in scan. Absolute joke
